Default MPEG-4

Quicktime doesn't seem to like them, whenever I try to play them the sound is there but I just get a blank screen. I've updated to the latest version but still no dice, just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong, I've tried converting files to AVI but the damn convertors are always too unreliable. Any suggestions lads?

Is it just a standard MP4 or a DivX or XviD-compressed one? 'Cause if it's the latter, might be Quick Tym doesn't like them, or the codecs aren't working properly.

You could also try an alternative video player of sorts, software like BSPlayer plays pretty much everything you throw at it. That one costs money though, but I'm sure you know the paths to an h4xx0r'd version.

Are you by any chance using the Windows Vista preview? Microsoft nerfed it so that it won't play videos properly since around the release date; On my Vista install, VLC worked fine until the public release of Vista, and then it turned to crap, and only the DivX player (which I hate) will play video.

Ah well, thanks to the first couple of guys for suggesting stuff but I've downloaded this VLC thingy and it works a treat. Nice one homies.
