PS1 emulator for the PSP

Does anyone know where I can get the PS1 emulator for the PSP. I am trying to ge it for a friend and I can't get it. Please help!

try www.pspvault.com i'm not sure what they have here, but they have downloads and stuff for the PSP.

I believe you need some special firmware to get it, it might be included in the firmware?

What was with the emulator? I mean, wasn't there some dispute with Sony? I'm sure I read this somewhere, something about no longer having control over the PS1. This is utterly stupid as the PS1 no longer does anything but collect dust.

By default, homebrew software (i.e. emulators) isn't really allowed on the PSP. That's why they keep releasing new firmwares to prevent that stuff :/. That, and illegal games.

How can you get Ps1 disc into a psp?

And secound off are you suppose to download the Emulator and how?

Most likely you copy the files off of the disc onto a memory stick and go for it. Same goes for downloading the emulator, just chuck it onto a memory stick. To actually run it you need to find PSP h4x and old firmwares and stuff first though.

But sony has released the emulator and even showed it off at last years E3. If you don't beleive me I'll post a link later. I also saw someone at school who had it on his but I never see him durring the day anymore.

I think you need to downgrade your PSP to 1.5, and then update to a custoom firmware called 3.10 OE-A. They have a downgrader out for people with version 3.03, but you need an old version of LCS for everything to go properly.

To play PS1 games, you need either a PS3, or a good old fashion bit torrent.

Then your PSP firmware need to be 3.0, I believe. Once you have your PSP updated, download the game, and copy it to your memory stick (I dont know what directory it will be though) and it should run.

I havent done this, because Im not allowed to use torrents anymore, and my memory card isnt big enough. (I avoid the word stick there, because I know theres dirty minds out there

)
