So I Went in the Sony Store Today

and was really surprised to see they only had 1 Blu-ray player for sale, and it was basically hiding underneith a big TV stand. You would think Sony would be promoting its Blu-ray better than that, even the PS3 display was very minimal (there were no games or anything else for the PS3 for sale, only the unit itself).

Also there were a ton of HDTVs not playing any HD channels or HD movies. Even the one TV with the blu-ray player was playing a regular DVD.

Sony marketers are idiots...

Or that particular store is run by an idiot. The Sony stores here (in new zealand) are pretty good; but we haven't got PS3's or Blu-ray yet.

Blue-ray was released in Australia at a few weeks ago, or something along those lines, I saw it on CyberShack, nothing but celebrities that didn't even know what the hell it was. But I've yet to see such a rise in the market. You would think the next-gen in mulit-media would be embraced?

Pft you get idiot store owners everywhere, it's the customers that really know best. I was in DSE one day and was looking for a Bluetooth adapter, so I asked where they were...I'm sure he's brain had melt.
