Lg Scoop: Tether it for net, but battery life is pathetic

Wow it doesn't look like we use this board often...

Okay, so I use my Lg Scoop as a net source, only problem is every 5 hours the phone is about to die (it doesn't have usb charging). So how would I get it to usb charge then?

You would probably need to have a specialized chord/cable that is specifically for USB charge or an add-on to force it to charge via USB. The add-on could be a custom-made firmware or something for it, I'm not sure if there is one avaliable for the LG Scoop or not though.

Overall, that's just what I had done for my father's one (which is older and a different make/brand, but it now charges via USB).

Not a problem, perhaps you should just double-check the manufacturer's website to see if they have or have not released any official devices/accessories/hardware or software/firmware to allow you to USB charge. Best to check the official stuff, before checking any secondary ones/mods.

I went to the official pages and could find a cord specified for charging so I went elsewhere and found a straight usb cable for my scoop. I couldn't find any firmware for it, but I already ordered my usb cable...so yeah, if it works

Thanks. I hate waiting though. I'm supposed to get a new computer later this week as well.
