Woolsey's translation had some flaws to it, but most of those are the fault of Nintendo of America for censoring every reference to death and unmarried teenage pregnancy they can find
I still kind of wish he hadn't changed random characters' names, but there's no denying the power of lines like "You sound like chapters from a self-help booklet!" Classic, classic stuff.
