I could have slightly understood if it walked away with best CG movie or best CG in a movie. But yeah, giant WTF over here too. But then again I guess the voting process had thousands of "Sephiroth is my bishie!" people voting in it.
Though Akira was somewhat of a mind trip at times. It was definitely better storyline wise.
