The rain appeared to come down in sheets, but under the hollowed part of the fallen tree, everything was dry. Sara put her bleeding finger in front of Draconis, even though he wasn't paying much attention until she did. "Unless you want to become a vampire I suggest you put that away." He said calmly. He knew all too well what blood lust can do, and if he so much as got a taste he'd bite down. Unless Sara was absolutely sure she wanted to be a vampire as she was in her old body, Draconis would avoid drinking so much as a drop of her blood.

There was another brilliant flash of lightning and another loud clap of thunder, but looking out from their small hide-a-way, he thought he saw something standing next to one of the trees. It was weird, he couldn't see anything there before, but only until the lightning came did he see an outline of someone. He shrugged it off and looked back at Sara, she was shivering. Draconis moved closer and wrapped his arms around her. Despite him being a vampire, he still gave off body heat, and he hoped that this gesture would help warm her up.
