Obviously people are allowed their own opinions and what-not but I think a lot of people took the game the wrong way. The FF series has been morbid for a longtime and X-2 was something a bit different, sadly enough I know there's plenty of people who gave up on the game simply after seeing the intro which is pretty pathetic ifyou ask me. Personally I thuoght the intro was awesome, it was just so stupid and tongue-in-cheek and straight away you knew it wasn't going to be teh sam ol' same ol' form the FF series. I preferred it X but I liked both, I just though the new direction they took for the game was a welcome break.

I agree with pretty much everything stated here.
Except that I truly hate FFX. I hated most of the characters except for Auron, and I know FF has it's fair share of melodramatic moments but....please. I found X to be very shallow, and I wasn't sucked into the whole affair at all. Yuna annoyed me greatly in X, cause she acted like a little zombie wind-up doll doing what everyone else told her to do. In X-2 she was a free spirit.
I actually love X-2. For a lot of what Yaguchi said. It wasn't supposed to be some epic quest, and it was never trying to be
that serious either. X was trying to be all epic and serious and all I got was melodrama and 'wah wah, i hate my daddy'. X-2 wasn't trying to be epic or take itself seriously, it was there to have fun, so it owns.
