i was under the impression that it was an eventual thing. Square Enix is just keeping any news of it under wraps..

SE isn't stupid.. and is still profit-driven. Knowing the demand of FF7 (and the series in general) you can tell they've already cashed in on this.. Its only a matter of time before they do 7. Its just a matter of HOW they'll execute the remake.
