Well you see, Firion's new outfit was the original design that Amano had made for him. There were at least twelve other designs which were eventually changed due to votes around the Development Divisions' and Amano originally intended Leon's outfit to be Firion's original outfit hence the change, as well as Garland's new outfit was originally intended to be the actual outfit but due to the graphical quality and/or memory space required the more simplistic designs were chosen whilst the rest were cataloged within Amano's office for possible reuse at another time and/or another project.
((And I have issues with people sending me abusive messages due to the factor recognizing one of my most known user-names' online so I decided to change it to step away from being recognized by users on YouTube, DeviantArt or GaiaOnline. So I eventually lost a bet and it was changed to Lady Lamont due to Lamont being Larsa Ferrinas Solidor's alias and that I am a Larsa cosplayer, or more like I will be fully next year - I hope that this has explained everything)).
