Leveling up is easy if you know the cheat
You just input an attack, or magic command and then cancel it. The game still registers it as you attacking an enemy, and thus your stats level up and to rise your hp you simply attack each other. I did this at the start of the game, and I more or less, breezed through the game! Though the system still was pretty weak
