Quick character creation guide

I'm gonna post this here until someone comes along and takes a proper hold of the RP forums. This guide can be used for both RPB and plain old RP. Any questions, PM me.

Name: This is kinda obvious, don't steal it from an anime or tv series, because then what's the point of creating your own character?
Age: Duh.
Gender: Could be anything, your choice.
Race: Important if you're going to create fantasy rp's, or indeed only if you want to confer special abilities onto yourself.

Weapons: This is quite obvious. All weapons must be posted here, and if they have a name, name it.

Armour: Same as before.

Magic: Not always applicable, if your character has magic, outline what it is here.

Skills: Enhanced senses, an extra arm, etc.

Abilities: Give a general description of your abilities, but don't state them outright, this could actually restrict you while you're trying to rp.

History: Very important. So that people know where your character came from, and what sort of life s/he used to lead.

Personality: Say what drives your character and why. Are they unpredictable, stoic, etc?

Background: Most guide writers say this will be your longest, and since I'm pretty new to this myself, I'm not sure how it differs from history. But just develop your previous points more. If they're old, say how they became that old, or why they're old. Say where weapons came from as well as armour and spells or abilities.

No worries dude. But to gain ultimate respect, just try and type in full sentences, it might be slightly slower, but hey, at least its not sore on the eyes :P I reckon you'll be a good rp'er when you're older.

Name: Lyon

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Weapons: Long Swords

Amrour: Midweight Body Armour, Bracers, No Helmet, Leg Gaurds. (Sorta middle level Armour so it does not go dragging down his speed)

Magic: Earth based magic, low level

Extra Skills: Nothing (just god like powers LOL only joking)

Abilities: Focusing on battle techs no curing magic, the sort of skills you accosiate with a good swordsman

History: Was a bright boy in school, worked hard, made friends, good leadership qualities. He looked up to his father as he was a swordsman who he thought was invincible (cos he was his dad), but when bandits attack his village his family is killed, incuding his dad. He and only a few others in his village survived. From then his life had no direction, he wandered around the world honing his own swordmanship so that he could protect the people he cares for, unlike his father who failed. It is for this reason he found his way into the army. Though firstly a lowely member of the front lines, his natural skills in warfare shone out and he was promoted many times untill he had worked his way to the most prestigious rank in the army, a "Kings Knight" by the age of 22. The "Kings Knights" were a group of 5 soldiers chosen from amongst the best to lead the armies and were given the duty of protecting the king. And to this day Lyon has remained faithful to this role and is reckoned as the best swordsman in the the land.

Personality: He is a quite man who keeps to himself most of the time, and for this reason most believe him to be cold and heartless to many. But to those who now him he is actually a nice guy, likes a laugh, reliable, a little sarcastic at times. Though he feels sommit is missing from his life, maybe a woman.(could somebody maybe make a female character for poor poor Lyon to fall in love with LOL)

Backgrounds: This is kinda the same as History but here goes i will just mention his weapon and armour. He wears the amrour of the "Kings Knights" with pride and he carries a lond sword given to him by the King at his acceptance ceremony to the "kings Knights". But he also always carries the sword of his father with him aswell, as a memento.

Ok well no one has replyed to you so i shall.

First things first and this is a tip for everyone who is new. Try writing your biographies in "word" so that you can use the spell checker. As said before on this thread you will get more rep for not using slang.

In reply to your bio. Its good for a first time bio but here are some tips. One no need for the joke, you want to be taken seriously ( to and extent )

Also you want to go into more detail if you can on his history; what were some of his victories? What was he doing while wandering with no direction? For how long was this period? Has he no anger for the bandits? If so has he ever confronted this anger, and how did this go and effect him?

Also for the other elements of your bio; He has low level magic, what sort of spells does this include? What sort of things can we expect him to be able to do? Can you name some of these skills he has? Has he any weakness or issues? was he always a quiet man? What does he look like, hair colour, eye colour, race, build, height, skin colour etc? And why was he so good at warfare tactics and fighting?

Also some of the spelling mistakes i can remember. "cos" should be "because","sommit" is "something" and "forst" is "first."

Sorry about the bad spelling i am just bad at typing, and i did think to add more to the history section but i thought if i did that i have a tendency to go on and on. But still thanks for the reply, i guess i will try another shot at it, same character still but i will expand further. And to Saor, i will put it in the right section this time, or maybe not, just to annoy you, haha.

Name: Hermes West

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Weapons: Dual swords and bows (swords names are blood swords) ( bows name is Lunar bow)

Armour: light armour (no name)

Magic: low level fire and lightning

Extra Skills: faster than normal humans and better eyesight than most humans, he has two blind spots beside him (dont know how else to explain it)

Abilities: nothing specific

History: He grew up on a farm with his parents untill he was eight and his parents died. he got put in a home with his sister. never really had any friends just his sister. AS he grew up he got in a lot of fights and lost a lot of them untill he learned how to wield dual swords.

Personality: He is very quiet and gentleman like, he is the kind of guy who protects the weaker and he can be very sarcastic at the wrong time. Gets in trouble all the time. He was red eyes, black hair and weards whatever that will fit and is clean. he is about 5 ft 4 in

Backgrounds: Pretty much the same at the top but here im just going to say that even though he has gone through a lot he never shows sorrow. Also he recieved his swords from his fathers will.

I'm sorry. But this isn't where you post your bios for rping. Make a thread for it and even after that... It won't be approved. There is no staff or open rps anymore. All the current rps are dead and closed due to all members that rped no longer come here.

From what I can tell... This section is basically closed due to no rpiers. or mods to actually work here.
