Default Whats the difference?

In the different mages in Final Fantasy III? I mean I know the difference between Black,White, and Red. But what about the other ones? I dont get why there are so many different ones when they all use the same magic pretty much.

what like Time mages and summoners and blue mages? Time magic encompasses both constructive and destructive areas so it should get its own class. Also while it encompasses those aspects (quicken, slow, etc) it isn't exactly like destructive or restorative magic so it does get its own class.

You would have to look at it in a flavor sense. As I said before, time magic isn't really restorative or destructive, flavor speaking, though flavor wise it has spells that fill into those aspects. Blue magic isn't really learned in books but through experience in combat. They learn from thier enemies. Summoners aren't exactly casting magic but are calling forth beings from other planes to do their bidding for them.

I mean in final fantasy III only. Like Magus' and Sages. They both use the same magic but are different jobs. Then there is sommoners but evokers use the same thing too.

ah. Main differences would be levels of power, higher classes get more magic and more varieties of spells and effectiveness of their other spells

don't believe so. I haven't seen much of FFIII aside from what I've seen on the DS.

Oh, I was JW. Its one of the best games in the series in my opinion (The Remake of it) Aside from FFVII of course. You should seriously get it if you have a DS. 10 out of 10 to me.

Man, wahat WAAAS the name of that job? White mage- Devout, Black mage - Magus. Red mage- Sumthin.... meh i liked the old translation, Red mage- Red Wizard. ^^ theirs like three types of magic in that game, summoning, black, and white, maybe time, i forget, anyway, there not all the same spells, and have slightly different purposes, but if u were confused about the later jobs having the same spells, thats because there like evolved forms, and have more MP etc,
