I'm extremely disappointed. if they're going to remake these games they should at least remake them on regular consoles instead of portables. ESPECIALLY if they're going to make them 3d and even more especially if they only just remade the 2d version a couple years ago.

Seriously, I'm all for having these games remade in 3d, they actually look quite good so far, but it's overkill now. They've remade these games far too often |

Don't we already have a thread about this?
I can't say I'm all that excited since I'm getting tired of all the remakes. Still, they are useful for my newly acquired DS. :P

This thread was made BEFORE the news one.
And yea, I mean the remakes are cool, and SE is definitely milking their old titles but I still have this feeling that its still innovative to some extent, since it IS going to be in 3D. If they decide to do the same with V and VI, that'd be cool, only now if they would stop it there. They should move on to the next generation, like VII, VIII and IX. Or is that too early? |

I like the remake. FFIV was a good game and playing it without the outdated graphics will be pretty awesome. Though Cecil's Viewtiful Joe look will take some getting used to.

SE updated the japanese website with the trailer that they showed at the Square Enix Party.. its got quite abit of the FMV stuff (tower of babil and some crystalsl).. The thing that startles me is the release date. It says coming 2007 at the end of the trailer, which would mean to say a Japan-side release by December.. (would make sense since 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy is in the year 2007) but it also either means that production had gone underway a long time ago or that they're just alot faster now (FF3 took hell of a long time to complete. like 2 years after announcement?). I just hope that they hold on to their production values. I still feel that Matrix is doing an inferior job.
anyway FINAL FANTASY ‡W |

I'm talking about just the DS in general, and maybe a game or two for it. Not getting a DS, God of War II, PS3, etc.
Getting the DS itself isn't expensive at all, and even getting a DS with a game is still cheaper the PSP alone. |
