Default FFVI - Shadow

Is it worth saving him or not? All you completists out there are probably screaming at your monitors saying that yes, he is worth saving. But is he a character you would actually use throughout the rest of the game or is he just someone you'd stick back in the reserves and forget about?

I usually forget about him tbh, he just sits there on the airship looking pretty whilst everyone else gets to go out adventuring and slaughtering innocent monsters. He's a good character, don't get me wrong, but he's not one of my favourites.

I found myself using him pretty often in the second half, purely on the basis that he's a ninja. He's also one of the first characters you can recruit, which helps.

Although hes nothing special and

( SPOILER ALERT ) ends up apperently dieing in the end anyway,

Id say, keep him anyway. he has that nice abilitie to auto counter attack with his rabid dog which is pretty cool, and in times where ull need to split your entire party three to four ways, u will need as many able characters at hand to use.

however, if u REALLY hate bad assed PC's who have that kinda Emo, " ill break ur neck if you touch me" theme song, and who also has some nice bonus story in the later parts. then by all means let him rot on that floating continent, PS. if u dont wait for him, he turns into Tidus, and makes a FF X-3!

You can't blame Shadow for being emo, you'd be pissed too if you parents died two games earlier and you lost your name and your throne for a dog and another world on the edge of destruction.
I've got some expert hacks of the game and on some that phreakin' dog comes in real handy

In my personal opinion, Shadow is one of the better characters of the game. The mystery surrounding his character compelled me to investigate what I considered rumors of dreams that can only be watched in the second half of the game that explain his past. Also considering the fact that waiting for him costs virtually nothing, I would ask why not? Of course, if you want a REAL mystery character...look at the Mime. Who is it? What is it? Is it a male or a female? Nobody really knows...

Um, you can see Shadow's dreams in the first half of the game xD
But I think Gogo (the mime) is Darly, Setzer's girlfriend.
Think about it, it was afternoon when she "died" and Gogo means afternoon.
Darly died on an island, where Gogo is found. They never found her body, so
there could be a big chance Gogo is Darly.

Plus, Shadow reminds me of Vincent.

For a 19 year old, you do seem quite cocky...and you seem to enjoy to pick people's posts apart piece by piece...there are words that describe people like that, but they are neither here nor there.

Anyways, some of the dreams cannot be seen until the World of Ruin therefore to experience the entire dream sequence, one would have to keep him and that was my point.

Pick people's posts?
What the hell?
Well, this is strange, because I've seen them all before the World of Ruin.
Believe, I know what I'm talking about.

How old are you, sixteen seventeen xD

Terra I think he's mad at you because of your FF VI versus FF VII argument...

I would be too, if FFVII had that much good evidence toward stealing fame xD
Sephiroth is just another, worse Cefca.

Sephy is Sephy and Kefka is Kefka, I like both of them. But I think if they were put in a room together Sephiroth's head would hurt lol.

Oh, it would hurt alright xD
Cefca would kill him for being a girl and not killing people more.

Sephiroth's not really into killing people, he just does it if he has to. He just hates cloud and wants to find the promised land.

Then maybe I'm wrong. I'm sorry that I get my information from official strategy guides. And yes, I'm looking at the page that describes the Shadow's Dreams sidequest and some of the locations for the dreams are in the World of Ruin.

On the other hand, I don't see why my age is important. Except for 13 year olds, on this board I've seen people from many different ages act both older and younger than they actually were. I've seen a 24 year old act like he was 13 and I've seen 15 year olds act like they're 18. I'm talking in terms of maturity, not people saying they are one age when they are not. This board has the curse/blessing of attracting people from all over the world and from as many different walks of life as the Final Fantasy series has managed to touch.

That being said and because you DID ask, I am 19, nearly 20.
