Did you like it? was it ****? how many turns did it take before you memorised the lines?
I enjoyed the scene itself, but having to memorize the lines and follow Draco's exact footsteps was a bit of a pain in the ass. The music was wonderful, and Celes' singing voice was strangely good for SNES quality sound xD All in all I enjoyed the Opera scene quite a lot. |

This ranks up there as one of my all time favourites. :O
Although I wouldn't exactly go so far as to proclaim it the next Shakespeare, it's surprising how much they managed to get into it with just a few low-quality sprites. I teared up a little whilst watching it. ![]()

Hey iSt, usually I'll agree with most of your posts, but Shakespeare was not over-rated. The man was brilliant.
As for that scene, yea it was definitly one of my favorites because I liked the background music a lot. I'm pretty sure its called Aria de Mezzo Carattere.

Ahh the Opera scene. Square manages to do some of these amazing scenes occasionally in the games. Last one on par with it had to be the Ballroom dance between Squall and Rinoa.
The music itsefl despite the lacking technology is harmonic. Memorizing those lines were a pain but still fun. |

Wasnt all his Plays written by a talking cow?
Anyway, i tried two times, the first was cause i kinda drifted into the music and forgot where to go, lol. Surprisingly, the GBA remake had a better audio mix for that song :O

I played the opera scene recently on Advance. I know the sound isn't as good for the advance which is a bit of let down since I'm a sucker for FF music.
But it took me 3 times to do it I think. I think it went like this...
But I finished it and it was a great scene. I was hoping you could see more performances. At the moment I'm up to the part where the world has blown up, so I don't know what is to come next...! |

It was the scene that secured Final fantasy VI, for me personally, as the best game in the series. I was blown away, and I downloaded the whole opera scene for my MP3! The music was wonderful, and fighting Ultros at the end was a good laugh
I even remembered all the lines (after a couple of tries) |
