Favorite Final Fantasy IV Character

There were a number of characters that I liked but I think that Edge was the best in terms of personality. Maybe not use in the game but definately in personality. He had that rogue-ish I can do whatever I want because I was a prince and I'm also a ninja attitude.
Second to Edge would be Cid for similar reasons...plus the whole being a crazy bearded engineer who [spoiler] Flies the airship into the cave walls to save everyone[/spoiler] really makes him likeable.

That is a really difficult choice for me.

Look at the Sig and/or Avatar. It/They will tell you all you need to know.

I am a man of reason, so here is a little chunk of me:

1. He looks frickin' Ontzagwekkend!* (excuse my Dutch)
2. He is mind-controlled, but then breaks the link
3. He fights with a lance, which aren't as easily handled as other weapons, such as a sword, or a thrown onion.
4. He is a Dragoon, for peet's (Pete's?) sake! They make a habit of Slaying Dragons and donning their carcasses as body armor and ornamentation. I would also like to add at this point that Dragons, unless at a sufficiently lower level than yourself, are frickin'g tough (yes I like that word), by which I mean that they are incredibly hard to kill.

I will concede that Setzer looks far more "Badass" than Kain does (can I say that?), but I can't very well put him here now can I? (That is a NO)

Golbez is one of the most epic characters in FF series.

I can never forgive Square North America for Butchering edge in the DS remake. They butchered alot of the characters, but none so much as edge, making him sound like some generic american tony hawk wannabe.

Normally, I would say Cecil because need I remind you all, that his character was a break through in video game plot history. He starts out as a Dark Knight ( YOU're main character is a frikken Dark Knight! Yuknow, the guys you've been fighting as random enemies since I and II!) Yeah, and he seems to be the bad guy! But, he isn't so he has a three dimensionality to him unlike the other game's heroes, apparently appearance isn't everything.

Only complaint about his character is his permanent atonement. They could of made his character like his Dissidia version where he can switch between his two forms but honestly, he was too much of a pansy to be a real dark knight.

If anything Kain was more "Dark Knight" than Cecil. Not a huge fan of dragoons myself, but no doubt Kain was my favorite. And his unrequited love and jealousy I can really empathize with. Poor Guy.

Golbez is the second of three Darth Vader rip off's in the series. He is, however my favorite. Gabranth played on the heavy breathing too hard and Leon was too quiet.

Gotta go to Yang for this one. He has to be my favourite party member in this game, for his damage dealing aspects, plus, I just like him. Even though he doesn't stay much. Again, I think they ruined him for the DS version. I mean, a bright orange moustache? Isn't that a bit much? Tellah comes a close second, though.

Well,my opinion is that FF IV has the "weakest" characters and only one that sticks out is main antagonist.

I found that IV had some really "strong" main characters, not only for it's time, but also surpassing other games, such as V. I found Zemus to be a fairly random story element, like halfway through directing the game, sakaguchi just said "Nooo I don't want Golbez to be evil, let's make him brainwashed by some higher power, or something."
