Default What was the general story of FFIV?

Tell me. Spoil it, I'm never going to beat it because I can't stand gameboy graphics.

FFIV is actually a great game, it is one of my favorite FF's. You can easily download a SNES emulator and the FFIV rom and play it on your computer. It doesn't take very long to beat, and I think it is a game worth playing.

NOOOO! Tell me! I don't care anymore because I downloaded a GBA emulator and the ROM of FFIV. But my sister deleted my account on "accident" one night and I lost all my ****e. So I don't even feel like bothering with downloading all that ****e again.

Check the Wikipedia page, they have the complete story. You really should play it, though. One of the best in the series.

It's always fun to ruin the gaming experience for someone.

FFIV is regarded as one of the first FFs, and even RPGs, to start to really develop plot in RPGs - it's mainly driven by a love story and rivalry between 2 old comrades. It's fairly simple by today's standards though.

I really enjoyed it - nice bit of romance and intrigue, and I liked the main character.

Plus I just love old school graphics. xD

I was quite fond of FFIV's plot; in fact, in a lot of ways I think it might be the strongest plot in the series. It's epic without being pretentious; it manages to convey a sense of scale without becoming bogged down in confusing half-developed plot details. For all that, the gameplay was rather simple though.

I own IV... but still haven't gotten around to playing it. XD It's been on my to-do list for ages, along with II and, Chrono Trigger, and FF Tactics.

No, it was originally IV; they only named it II in the US because they didn't release the actual II and III in the U.S., thanks to Nintendo of America being a bunch of gigantic sods who claimed they were "too similar" to the original Final Fantasy.

Perhaps you knew that, but it didn't sound like it, so yeah.

FFIV is the first of the older FFs that I played and I thought it was a bit short actually. I did pretty much all the side quests and it still didn't take me that long to complete. That's probably my only complaint though. Otherwise the plot was solid and the characters were pretty good. A bit too many "surprise twists" at the end for my tastes though.

Damn you, Aaron. Now I wanna play. The torrent for the GBA emulator only takes an hour to download. Well, the last three times I downloaded it, it did. Kio, you haven't played FFT? Tsk, tsk. It's a very good game.

The only thing that I find to be weak about FFIV's plots is the number of characters who
"die" who don't really
. But meh.

And yeah, the advance version is probably the most worth playing, although J2e's translation for the SNES was easily the most humourous. Hit me up for a PM link to that if you want it.
