Final Fantasy VI Help Thread

<<" Here's the thing. I'm playing the remake of VI, and I'm stuck fighting Vagras with Sabin. I get all the way up to the point where I have to execute the Blitz technique, and then I fail like an ignorant pig, no matter how hard I try.

Over, and over again. Now, it's gotten to the point where I think it's the fact that I'm playing it on a DS rather then a GBA...

Is anybody else having this problem? Or can somebody explain to me exactly how I'm supposed to use the Blitz ability?

After selecting Blitz, you have to press left, right, left, Action. It's confusing, yeah. You can also deal something like 4,000 damage to him and kill him off that way, but **** that.

>.< That's what I'm doing... I select blitz, hit left right left A, but then it goes Incorrect blah blah blah blah, and I either get killed with Gale Cut or that stupid Doom Fist. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, that's why I want to pin it on my DS. I don't think I'm that dense. Is there a certain time frame I'm supposed to wait for.

You are pressing the confirm button only once when you select Blitz, right? Bah. I've been googling this and I can't seem to find anything on it either.

<<" Yeah, I figured it out. I think I must've been going dyslexic or something with the controls or I dunno... rather it suddenly worked and I'm not going to question it. End of story, I'm moving on. Yay done with that.

Ok so I haven't played Final Fantasy VI for about a year and a half so when I got back on it, I was clueless what to do and where to go.

When I loaded my save, I started outside this small little town that had been blown up by the looks of it, and on further inspection I saw Terra laying in bed in a small house that was still standing. I talked to her and she just said something like "The kids need me". This gave me no clues where to go next.

So I took a look around on the World Map, the only place I could goto was Nikea, so I looked around, bought some stuff but no clues here either. I took the boat to South Figaro and there's no indication of what to do next there either.

In South Figaro, people kept saying things about "We must re-build!" and "The thieves have all ran away..". I don't know if that gives you any clue what to do.

By the way, the characters I have with me at the moment are Sabin and Celes.

I'm really stuck and have no clue where to go.

Go to the pub, there should be a bunch of thieves. When you've talked to all of them, go outside and you should be able to find a man who looks suspiciously like Edgar. Follow him to the boat, and matters should progress from there.

There's no one in the pub no more. The townspeople say they all left for some cave but what cave?

The cave is actually just outside of Nikeah, but you'll have to sail on the ship at the south of town to reach it. But you haven't found the dude that looks like Edgar?

So, some assistance requied plz. I'm leveling up for the Dragon's Den but, tbh, leveling up is a pain in the ass. So, are there some quick tips on how to survive the insanity?
