I'm a nostalgic old-schooler who is eagerly awaiting the arrival of FF1 & FF2: Dawn of Souls for GBA. That said, has anyone tried the following: Fighter, Fighter, Thief, White Mage. I know it's heavy on the hitting and light on the black magic, but it's got great defense, good speed and healing. Thanks for the advice.

I went with the classic setup (default).
Fighter - Zeke Thief - Baku White Mage - Luca Black Mage - Zok I think that their names really fit. Not to be rude or anything, but most people tend to have crap names like Honalulu or Doom Striker or something else that looks "cool". Throws Gravel at your foolishness. off topic: Can somebody please post? Anywhere in the Cassic section? This place is dead and barely anyone is posting anything. It's been a month since that guy above me posted that. I'm all alone. There's no one here beside me.

Four (4) Fighters, all the way, Baby!
"Why,..." you hear yourself asking, only semi-rhetorically, "...would you play through the game with characters not only lacking in major recovery moves, but who are also without any means to cast uber death spells like Flare and Holy?" Well, my cheesepuff-eating, gravel-throwing philanthropologist (the study of people, more or less), I like to train, and when one trains on boss squares that dish out a lot of money as well as exp. whenever one steps on them, one tends to have a lot of said money. I have found that if that very same one does not have a proper outlet for their murderous income then one has too much money for me to like. Therefore, I soup up my Knights with everything possible (even the ridiculously over-priced Knights Armor), and use the tried-and-true "Hack-n-Slash" technique. It gets the job done very quickly and efficiently, as the Knight is the strongest class (isn't it?) and it has the most hp, so it doesn't die very easily, if at all. Mine are Immortal. Fighter # 1: Jebediah Fighter # 2: Heracles Fighter # 3: Mathusalah Fighter # 4: Josiah I like to imagine that Heracles feels left out because his name doesn't end with "-ah". bytheway... some of you may or may not have noticed, and some of you did, that I already posted here a couple blocks up the street. I just want it to be known that I only use this strategy when I'm really bored and have a few hours to kill. Otherwise I'll play it smart and bring some healers and such. The latter is when I am slightly bored and will actually save my game and come back to it later. Just thought I'd let you know now so somebody doesn't make a post dedicated to how I am misusing/wasting thread space.
