Fighter, Black Mage, White Mage, and Thief.

I'm a nostalgic old-schooler who is eagerly awaiting the arrival of FF1 & FF2: Dawn of Souls for GBA. That said, has anyone tried the following: Fighter, Fighter, Thief, White Mage. I know it's heavy on the hitting and light on the black magic, but it's got great defense, good speed and healing. Thanks for the advice.

My favorite team was a warrior thief and 2 monks
it was a little hard at first but later on when I didn't need healing it kicked butt for sure =P
