Well you should be able to fight Gilgamesh as I didn't find him very strong during the first and second battle (he's about level fifty for the first and level eighty for the second) when I fought him I made sure I just had some accessories equipped and cast: Protect, Shell, Hastega, Bravery, Faith and Regen on my characters and went into battle and repeatedly attacked him, took out his dog and then Gilgamesh himself. You should be able to knock him down by now Garland.

Well, im about level 40 something now, and have some spells to purchase. I really want to steal the pants off him more than anything, guess i have a bit more training to do

Hm, well once you get some more spells then you should be able to get him on your current levels.

Dont bother Lamont, in this short time period i found a way to get adamant from adamantitans, completing the ingrediants nessessarry to make my ultima sword, Then out of sheer daring i decided to take on Gilgamesh! And guess what? I WON! Ahaha, in my 40's too!
I stole everything from him, and after beating his second incounter diagoro, i settled into a pattern of running away, healing and running away some more.

I am truley honored to have fought my 2nd favorite FF character of all time on this game! I wasn't aware at all that he would be voice acting, let alone that his english actor would be that funny guy from princess monoke!!! Ah, and his crazy flashy antics i enjoyed fully! Aww man im so glad it worked out,

Hahaha, I still can't get over the fact that in the first Gilgamesh fight, when he flies in, he misses his target and hurts himself and falls from the bridge.

He's a funny guy, even in FF5 when he first appeared I think. He tried so hard, yet he was such a klutz.

Gilgamesh will, was, and always will be -the- comic relief of final fantasy. " we will fight like men, and women, and women who dress like men!"

I knew i heard his voice somewhere before, OMG he's bender! Best scene with him in XII was at the very end, when you leave the room and he's all like *yoink* and runs off once more like a maniac XD.

My only regret is that the games cameo appearance of Ultros was a little short played. The Royal octopus needed alot more character, he's like the gilgamesh of VI, cmon!

Hahahaha, yeah! It's funny depending on who you have as the Party Leader, Ashe looks back a couple of times and then he eventually steals it, Vaan doesn't bother looking and Gilgamesh just runs and steals it. XD

Sadly, I have to agree (Oddly I've heard that Gilgy should be appearing hopefully at some stage in a FFXIII series game).

Hope he doesn't appear as a motor cycle... O.o

*all that ultros got in the game was the implied tentacle rape that everyone wanted...

Hahaha, I doubt he would appear as a motorbike or as any vehicle as Gilgamesh is one of the most personalized "Summons" so I doubt it... more like he'd be trying to steal the Prince's swords in Versus XIII and fails multiple times. Hahahaha.

(That was pretty nasty, Ultros creeped me out a bit in that one...but originally such a good design but then sadly had to be ruined).
