Default Dirge of Cerberus Secret ending *spoilers*

Graphically superb. Nothing short of genius imho. And having real footage of Gackt/G that was so seamlessly added into it was a brilliant way of setting it up (Though if I'm perfectly honest, the first time I saw it I still thought G was fully CG rendered xD)

But despite its pure graphical superiority, what did you make of it? Will it lead on to yet another addition to the compilation of FFVII or will it just be 'that secret ending that had no meaning whatsoever?'

I'm personally hoping for another RPG addition to succeed it, and not another hybrid shooter, because despite the almost perfect controls (imo) and passable (only barely) storyline, they didn't make a very good job of it, which proves yet again that Square-Enix should just stick to RPGs.

Oh yeah, I cba to find a better part of the post to add in this now that I think of it, but what about G's wing? Does this mean he's a brother of sorts to Sephiroth? And how does Lucrecia/Hojo/Vincent fit into his past if at all?

So many questions, not enouhg knowledge *sigh* If any of this has been answered in what little information that has been released about CC or any of the other compilation titles please slap me and direct me to wherever it was said, because lately I've been keeping away from almost all news on this and FFXIII. I want to be able to judge them both as unbiased as possible when I play these games.

EVerything will be explained pretty clearly once you get your hands on a version of Crisis Core that you can understand.. if isn't obvious enough, G in DoC is in fact Genesis... who is a main story character in Crisis Core..

If im not wrong basically Crisis Core covers the story on the various Shinra projects that occured before the FF7 main game occured. This would include the projects by Hojo, Grimoire/Lucrecia and Gast..

heres a pretty good pic of him that i got from Eyesonff.. musta come from the party.

This game had a lot you could complain on and not that much you could praise but that it concernes the FFVII characters.
This game is just boring..I played it through once and that's all. No more. And that a certain someone makes an appearance in the end makes it even worse...

I actually liked the game, not only because it was a spin-off / sequel to quite possibly the greatest FF game ever.. but it also had a unique, although long-engrossing story line.
the style of game was also quite original for final fantasy franchises. I think Square Enix, as well as us fans know that they can't just obbide by the cookie-cutter RPG and keep churning out regular RPG FF's over and over, w/ more and more random battles.. that would get too old.

I liked the approach they took w/ the shooter style of RPG and they added aspects of an actual RPG quite well into it and what character was better suited for this mission than the best 'secret character' Vincent Valentine. Ok, so the item system for the game did kinda suck and they could have done better, but they are doing better and will do better. Just look at the progress made w/ Kingdom Hearts II and FF XII. Not to mention FFXIII is looking better than anything i'd imagine the series to come to. Not to mention that there has been rumors of a remake of FFVII for years now and i'm so anxiously awaiting that!

FFVII - DoC had new characters, an involving storyline and unique gameplay (although dull at times, like Boss battles). The gun change-up system, w/ different parts was a nice touch too - to add to the RPG quality of it.
About this 'secret ending' though. I must say i'm not sure if I know which one u guys are describing. I don't know of any ending that's involving some G-guy, named Genesis? Where and how do u get that ending?
I got the one where Vincent is sitting outside the cave of Lucrecia and she sheads a tear, then he meets up w/ a free-spirited Shelke and then he dissapears again.. and she sits in the 7th heaven bar w/ Tifa, waiting for him to call.. then the credits roll..
What's this about this other ending? ;O I must know! ^^
