Figured I'd might start this topic. I jumped around a few websites (1up,IGN, QJ, Game Trailers,etc), and came across entries, interviews rather, from Tetsuya Nomura, Shinji Hashimoto, and Yoshinori Kitase. It has to do with the Advent Children Complete (Blu-Ray) being released. When asked about FFVII ACC Hashimoto and Kitase replied:

1UP: Last week, Final Fantasy Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura said that he's hard at work adding new scenes to the FFVII: Advent Children Complete Blu-ray release. Can you give us any update on that project?
SH: You can look forward to the upcoming invite-only fan event DKS3713 [taking place in Tokyo on August 2 and 3], where we'll have a major announcement that will shock the fans in attendance.

Interesting stuff. Usually i just leave it to rumor, but seeing that there is multiple sources from SE saying the same thing perhaps there is some teeth to it? So, the mighty question always asked. Remake? Another title to the compilation, or something entirely new?
Seeing that FFXIII will now be released on the XBOX 360 anything is possible!
