Dissidia; preffered English Voice Acting lists.

Hey guys.
Now I havn't been writing on the Square Enix Discussion board for a long time, and certainly I havn't been posting many starter threads, but i've been meening to post this for a long time, so here goes...

This is a thread of pure assumptions. First of all i am assuming that Square Enix is kind enough to give Dissidia an English release. Secondly I am assuming who the already confirmed English voice cast is so far, based on the ff roles all ready voiced in previous games. These names will be marked with Green.

Here is my list on what my preffered English voice cast will look like:

FF I:

Light Warrior- Kirby Morrow (Teru Mikami Death Note, Miroku Inuyasha, various roles, like in the Gundam series, etc. )

Garland- Gary Martin ( Bergan Final Fantasy XII, that Narrator of many movie trailers )

FFII:

Firion- Jonathan Holmes ( Takemaru Inuyasha,Swords of an honorable Ruler, BBC Radio voice actor )

Emperor Mateus- Vincent Gale ( Menomaru Inuyasha, and various other young yet commanding dictator like roles)

FFIII:

Onion Knight- Andrew Francis ( Dilandau Escaflowne, Genki Monster Ranchers, Hiten of the thunder brothers Inuyasha many MANY more anime shows)

Cloud of Darkness-

FFIV:

Cecil: Yuri Lowenthal ( Cecil Harvey Final Fantasy IV DS Sasuke Naruto, Delita Hyral Final Fantasy Tactics, pretty much in every anime and video game ever created.)

Golbez: Anthony Landor ( Golbez Final Fantasy IV DS )

FF V:

Bartz: Richard Ian Cox (Inuyasha Inuyasha, Ian Kelly Being Ian, ALOT of Anime shows.

ExDeath:

FF VI:

Terra- Stephanie Sheh ( Hinata Naruto, Eureka Eureka Seven )

Kefka-

FF VII:

Cloud- Steve Burton ( Cloud Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Cloud Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Cloud Kingdom Hearts II )

Sephiroth- George Newbern ( Sephiroth Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Sephiroth Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Sephiroth Kingdom Hearts II )

FF VIII:

Squall- Doug Erholtz ( Squall/ Leon Kingdom Hearts II )

Ultimecia- Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Rosso Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus Cornelia Bri Britania Code Geass)

FF IX:

Zidane- Vic Mignoga (Ed Elric Full Metal Alchemist Zabimaru, Renji's Zanpakuto Rofl, Bleach

FF X-

Tidus- James Arnold Taylor ( Tidus Final Fantasy X, Tidus Kingdom Hearts

Jecht- Gregg Berger ( Jecht Final Fantasy X )

Again, this is a preffered casting. I also may mix and match the different voice suggestions to others. Some characters are not filled in but i will update it from time to time. So give me your feed back, or even your own list of VA's for your favorite Dissidia characters.

I agree with Ultemecia being Rosso's voice actor, but without the accent. Good one there!

Terra: Tara Strong, Ming Na, Hynden Walch, Jennifer Darling? Personally, I think Tara would do an excellent job

Ex-Death: TC Carson, Christopher Lee, Tony Jay?

Garland: Brian Drummond?

CoD: Susan Eigenburg?

WoL: David Hayter, Liam O'Brian?

Mateus: Ron Perlman, Vincent Price?

Kefka: Chris Sanders? Even that doesn't feel quite right...

Kuja/Mateus will also be very hard characters to find appropriate voices for. It would be like looking for a voice for Yazoo only doing it right this time. :P

I think it should go like this:

Terra - Natalie portman or Rachel Weisz and/or Rachel McAdams - she would be very good playing Terra.

Kefka - was heath, now Nicholson.

Ex-death - someone dark and intelligent sounding!

Garland - ?

Golbeza - I guess the voice from the game.

Zidane - American Naruto

Luneth - Sora's voice for sure.

Buntz - Sasuke from naruto

Cloud of Darkness - The lady who plays....Uh...nevermind!

Well, that's all.

As for the voices i chose.
I picked the ones for Terra because she needs someone who sounds innocent,
yet strong and passionate, willful and smart. Personally, i think Natalie fits that for Terra.
Kefka - the laugh! What else!
Buntz sort of looks like a sasuke to me.
Luneth - Because Luneth screams sora! I have no better reason.
Zidane - because i said so ^ ^

Damn, you're right. I hate it when people die and I never hear about it. :P

As much as I agree that professional actresses like Weisz and Portman would be excellent choices for english voiceovers, the fact is that they have thriving careers and are unlikely to sacrifice time from that to dub video games. Video games aren't exactly viewed by most of the world as classy entertainment. Even if they were, Weisz would definitely be out anyway, because she has extra snob appeal with her Fountain? Oscar. She'll only be doing the best movies for a few more years to come.

HAHAHAHA! That's true.
Once she did Sapphira's voice from Eragon and the movie turned out to be a flop, she dropped from movies.
But Portman or Rachel would be good ^ ^

I didn't realize she did Saphira's voice. That makes sense, though. Especially why shortly after she won the academy award and then refused to do the Mummy threequel. Like I said, she's done doing mass media movies--only the oscar-level stuff will suffice for her career. Which is fine, I suppose, because first she needs to make a name for herself as an oscar caliber actress before she can go back to the lesser movies and for people to take them more seriously, possibly even watching them purely because she's in it. That's why people watched and liked Devil Wears Prada (Streep), Pirates of the Caribbean (Depp/Rush), and pretty much anything with Morgan Freeman or Nicole Kidman in them. They've already won and been nominated for oscars many times and therefore don't need to prove their awesomeness anymore. Thus they can produce crappy movies like Bewitched and Wanted and have no repercussions to their career.

I added Vic Mignogna ( Ed Elrik) to my choice of Zidane Tribal on my list. I was concidering Narutos VA but i realised that Zidane's not a kid. Even if he was, Vic could play either role.

Mhmm and i like Johnny he was the black power ranger when i was young (go go power rangers.....>_>)and I like his voice especially when his characters are pissed off
