Okay,I'm going to be cool about it i got the game but I'm letting my best friend play before I do since he doesn't have it yet but I can tell you one thing if you are going to do data install it takes about an hour to do so no spoilers that's all I'm saying NOTHING else

Friend cards won't do if its to play online. Because ten to one, we are all far away from you and Adhoc doesn't go very far. Plus, I don't have Dissidia, the one game I've wanted almost two years to have...

Not to give away anything, as to follow Lamont's example of being humble, but after all the hype, after me replaying tons of the games from the series, and then to play Dissidia for a couple of hours...

... It's one notch short of an insult to FF fans. Seriously, all the character's are just cheap immitations of themselves, and the story feels tedius, not to mention the gameplay seems "worse" than the demo. Bad camera angles abound, everything just feels the same, the "Bonus content seems overwhelmingly excessive. About the only redeeming quality of the game is adding Garland as a playable character, but he doesn't have a story mode so you have to level him up extremely slowly... and I have yet to hear him utter the "Knock you all down" line, I heard "I'll crush you" and "I'll slice you to pieces"...

...some fanservice.
All this hype for a game that's theoretically WORSE than FF III DS.

Yeah I haven't gotten into it all that much and it's kind of a let down. The demo made it seem much better. I'm hoping once I get more skills it will get better, but I don't know.

FF III kinda sucked anyway, It wasn't all that interesting. (God you're gonna kill me for that.)

The DS version? yeah I do agree on that. Of course I agree with all the DS incarnations of the main series, why is it that people think craptastic polygonal graphics = better 3d remake to the 2D sprites.

If wonderswan finnished their project on remaking the game, then no doubt the GBA would get their hands on it sooner, and that would of been win.

Plus the only added content is so biased with it's WiFi exclusivity. The story isn't completely terrible, as it was an aged game from the series, and the job system gets quite tolerable after awhile.
But it is far superior to Dissidia anyway, since it is an actual title in the main series +no crappy loading times.

I'm enjoying Dissidia, even though I must admit that the story does get a bit repetitive, but it's interesting to see certain heroes and villains interact with each other, and face off in battle. Also the nostalgic music as well as the stages, and everything else. I finished Warrior Of Light's story mode, and I'm doing Firion's now. I'm having fun =D

Yup. It is a fighting genre type game. And what fighting genre game was ever super crazy fantastic fun against the computer? I'm not saying it's not fun. But it does take a long time to level up to 100 as usual. And when you...SPOILER! We need spoiler tags at some point. Well, in the end when I played it after finishing Destiny's Odyssey and all, I got Cloud up to "100" and just played him against everyone else in battle with the opponent being 5 levels higher making them 105. They also had a crazy amount of brave points to begin with so damage was phenomenal against moi, and the difficulty was set to max. Everything to max. Now that was tough. However, that kept me busy for a while. They would do 9999 so often...

Hmmm... I actually liked Dissidia's story mode, but when it ran out and there was nothing more to tie it together... well, it just gets a little repetitive (read - very). It takes so long to level anybody up! I'm getting bored of it, to tell the truth. I wish there was proper online play, as I don't have a PS3...

No, it's not crappy. I'm having a lot of fun with it right now playing as the FF characters against other characters. It just takes a while to level up your characters, but I don't have a problem with that. I still recommend anyone who is a FF fan to get this game. You'll enjoy it. ^_^

I'm on the last story (Tidus') and it has gotten better. Once you level up a lot the gameplay is more fun. The chessboard thing is irritating though.
