Eh... reasons not to be discussed. (I got a japanese version. Couldn't understand though, so no spoilers from me other than gameplay)

Kinda hard to play the Japanese version wouldn't it. I mean, balance accessories and battlegen, and ingrediants and equipment, not to mention abilities, without reading Kanji, the game would be a shot in the dark. It's like getting Final Fantasy XIII early from Japan, you'd be screwed.
Honestly, why were people like you so compulsed to get the game early? Magitek, the game has nostalgia, and it does pick up with a more RPGish feel later on down the line. Though like i've stated before, it pales in comparison to -any- of the main series games. (It is a fanservice game afterall). VI fans will definetly like all the praising/bashing between VII and VI. Im at the second chapter of Shade Impulse, but that's because i've been replaying all the early levels over and over, making sure to get all the treasure ;P
