Doesn't FFTA deserve some form of recognition?
Anyway, question above... i thought ffta was an awesome game, especially since gba was all i had at the time. the music, the graphics...kinda...and the story. oo, and gameplay, i liked the gameplay, no rush, think, attack, pwn. Also, i found this loophole where i duplicated items, like two excalibur 2's duel-wielded with ninja tabi and my overpwered Peytral. Also, since i overplayed that game, my Sequence was freakishly pwnage as well. Judge Cid rocks as well i played it for over the time limit, over 999 hours...so the game cartridge kinda blew... |

Hey, awesome avatar.
No, you're right. FFTA was awesome. It was the best game I had on GBA, closely followed by the golden suns. I can't wait until this next one. I'm expecting a longer story mode, over 400 missions this time, all the original jobs plus at least 20 more, new abilities, better spell graphics and some really cool summons. I can't wait to get TA2. It's gonna rock so much. I like the graphical look of it. It was just a little disappointed with the last one that you couldn't walk around the towns at least to go to the shop and pub and maybe talk to a few civilians. I think it will stay the same with this new one as well. Also, The main character looks a little odd. It's going to be odd not having Marche and Ritz there. I hope it relates heavily to FFTA and not as much to XII. Can't wait!!!! |

The first one was great, and I bet the second one will be also. I find myself replaying this whenever I get bored of my other DS/GBA games while I'm on the road or loading up the emulator whenever I'm bored of WoW, which isn't often.
The gameplay was slow in the first few stages since you're limited by your strength and abilities, but once you start leveling and earning new classes the game gets really fun. I've had four or five different games so far, all with 90+ hours of gameplay.

I found the beginning really interesting actually. And even more so as you go along. I was a little disappointed at the short main story though.
But I play it whenever I'm bored, and sometimes I just get "back into it" and start playing it heaps, even though there's nothing new to do, I just do heaps of battles and level up my characters. I'm sure this new addition will have heaps of improvements. It couldn't go backwards could it. I hope to see familiar locations as well as well as a whole new side to Ivalice. Just a question, how many places are there in Ivalice. There seems to be an infinate number of locations, and no set world map for Ivalice. And is XII set in the future? |

Rumours say FFXII set in the future, though I haven't heard anything from Square yet.
I liked FFTA. It's probably my second favourite FF GBA game. It had a nice story and I just loved the battle system. Graphics weren't too bad considering the platform and year released. I haven't gotten that far into the game yet. It's an on and off kind of thing. |

FFTA was one of my favorite games in the series truthfully. I loved how you could have so many members in your clan and all of those jobs to choose from. In the next one they need to put as many jobs as there were in FFIII. I also read something about the next FFTA, when is that supposed to come out? I cant wait.

Have a look on the homepage, there are some new scans for FFTA2. And it's supposed to be out later this year in Japan. So it's already well underway.
And I think there were more jobs in FFTA then FFIII. It looks like we'll see all the old jobs return + some new ones. I hope there are at least 20 new ones. I also like having so many people in the clan, and all with their own names. It was like they were real people. |

I liked this game for the first few minutes of it, but for someone who's played the original Final Fantasy Tactics, this game is more of a 12yr old version, all "kidded" out with no blood or true violence. I got to the point of
destroying all the crystals and a bit beyond that
and it never really got "better" to me. I'll take original Tactics any day.
