Don't see the point of this, about 4% of the people who come to FFE (probably alot smaller lol, its a guess) use FFE for the forums so it's pointless to display updates or announcements of people being promoted. The main FFE page should only display announcements regarding FF news and the right column should display any announcements of importance regarding the forum.

4%? How did you get that percentage?? Anyways I disagree. The frontpage is for describing what's going on in the site, and the forumns are part of the site.

I think that forum-related issues should stay within the forums.

anyone interested enough is able to access the forums and find a whole section dedicated to News, Updates and Events.

If they're really interested they can register

That news desk section should be related to Frontsite issues, and/or FF/Square-Enix news.

Well I'd only really really agree with EoT if people like Blitzballer have left (mostly the site staff who gave us the reviews). And if the main site doesn't get restored and get juicy info on it.

Well we're working on updating the frontsite, bit by bit. We're currently working on updating the staff page.

We've had a couple of applications in for people to write some content for us aswell

What kind of content are you guys looking for? I doubt I could volunteer, and I doubt you'd want me to, but I'm curious what the end result of all this vamping-up will be. ^_^

I havent left. Work and family life is just hectic at the moment. Ill be able to post stories a bit more now- if im needed.

Well i posted a news story a few hours ago (about Square Enix announcing two games for the Xbox at Microsofts Pre TGS conference) and it seems it has to wait to be approved or something (is this something new?), plus ive been posting in some threads and mysteriously the posts vanish....

That's fixed now :P
