Of course, since the post has been deleted and not edited, I can't really provide an argument. But I'm sure Lethe is new at this and doesn't know as much as everybody else. I'd say that if you have an argument with a mod's decision, to take it to PM. If they ignore you, then you should probably take the action you've taken.

I'm quite aware, that you probably don't care... (lol, I rhymed.) But this is probably just going to end up as drama with a lot of members and mods arguing which is not really necessary unless someone's been being a pain in the ass for a long time and they're just pisstaking for lulz. I don't think that's the situation, though.

But if the post was removed merely for swearing, that's just not cool. :\

If the post is filled with swearing, chances are it's not a very good post anyway.

Lethe isn't new to moderating, Derek, and he is more than adept and does know the same, if not more, than most members.

Yes, we have a censor in place. This is so that when there is (in vian hope) some swearing, the censor blocks it out and things can move along as normal.

I'd like to take a look at this post that was deleted so I can judge the situation for myself.

Batman, if you have an issue with a moderator please take it up with them via PM first. If you are ignored, or the issue cannot be resolved, feel free to make a sensible thread about it or PM another member of staff higher up.

However, to see a complaint about a certain issue saying "moderators suck" isn't good enough.

Be mature and intelligent enough to address the situation calmly, or at least in a polite and/or formal manner.

I had to guess what you meant in THIS post. Maybe I was a little hasty there, but "I meant what I meant." - what do you mean? You insist on putting a swear word there, despite being in full knowledge that it will not show due to (and after) the owner's request. Strange and shameful. :/

Why is it that every thread you touch turns into a wankfest? You either troll, spam, or - in this case - flame. Your posts have little or no value to a thread. I believe you have even posted sexually-explicit material. You've steered a more recent topic towards an arguement (are you possessed?). You take it to the welcome threads.. To be honest, you're something we can do without right now and I tire of having to chase around after you, making sure you're not making us all look like a bunch of assholes. As for expanding on your posts, you've wasted a lot of oppurtunities to get respect and for people to take you seriously. Or maybe we have, in your words, "no real comprehension" of what you are trying to say. I'm not a complete newbie, there is nothing you can present to me forum-wise what I haven't already seen before. If anyone is against you here, then it's your own doing.

Really though, if you wanna badmouth any of the staff like what you've done on recent occasions, take your grievances to them in PM or to a more authoritive figure (though, you've already tried your antics with Hydro). And FYI it was me who asked Hydro to reconsider that infraction, and you practice your untold ignorance in return.

Who's cooler?!? - What are you talking about? Whatever, I've tried to make you look better, as well as maintain a topic's integrity, but you refuse. You know, when a member recieves an infraction, they won't go and commit the same offense next day. Everyone else is getting along fine but you carry on pushing yourself up in people's faces, with no backbone to your comments whatsoever.


Still, I am going to continue to keep the boards moderate. And if that means handing out warnings/bans of my own, Batman, then so be it. The swear thing? You do it excessively and where it ain't needed, it seems like the only way a smart guy like you can get their point across. You shouldn't worry about this for much longer, though. We've given advice, everyone in Rome is doing as the Romans.

We're quite leanient, and we don't want to have everything by the books.

Not to say that we don't have rules, we just pay attention to people's personality and posting style.

We don't want people to have to change who they are and how they post too much because of some hardback rules.

Now, if someone swore with every second word they said and were just generally over the top we'd come down on them.

Also, if excessive rulebreaking is incurred, we'll come down on them.

I trust that the moderators and super moderator have the judgement to decide what's best in any given situation.
