Seriously, this site has become a mess, and just ugly to search through now. I was surprised even now that the forums have totally changed.

There is advertising everywhere, the homepage has errors, and nothing is up to date any more. This site just needs some good hard maintenance.

I've never ever seen advertisments on this site whatsoever but I think hat's because of my Safari. But even on a Windows this site has a limited amount of advertisments. And the skin should be up soon.

I think he's talking about the home page right now. Not the forums.

I thought I was going to agree with you, but unfortunately it's lost it's appeal in a completely different way. Who cares what a forum looks like?

Well advertising on websites like these are beneficial in a way, at least to the webmasters and web designers. If you notice on MySpace, there's lots of advertising everywhere including when you want to edit out your profile.

The advertising usually means that the people who are in charge of the website doesn't want to pay alot or pay at all to keep the website up and running. By having the endorsements in advertising, we can keep coming back to the website free of charge or if the website has a membership, a small fee per month.

There was a website that I used to frequent alot and they didnt have any advertisements at all, but they did strongly suggest you donate money to the site to keep it running. Why do you think MySpace is free? Such a popular place that everyone goes to and people wonder "why dont they charge money to be on this thing?" Because MySpace gets lots of advertising and endorsements. So that's why in almost every page you come across to on that site, you see advertisements and endorsements.

So if you dont want the advertisements on the website anymore, why dont you take some money out of your own account every month, I suggest you donate some money to this site; instead of complaining about advertisements being on the homepage. The webmasters want you to come to their site free of charge. The least you can do is be thankful about it and just ignore the advertising.

Sorry about the long response, I like to argue and debate.

You'd need to donate a good amount of probably 100 to 180 dollars a month for all the maintainence, bills, and fee for hosting the site. I mean there is a lot involved into making a site and keeping it running. I was at one time trying to create a clan site(utter failure cause I could never get to it) and to create the site I needed to pay the host site a fee for special fetures and stuff and making my own templates of the site. Due to that I just threw the whole idea out the window.

i dunno what they're talking about because i just signed up a few days ago... but from my perspective, i signed up here excited that i'd found a forum for final fantasy discussion... and then as i look around the forums, 98% of the boards haven't been posted on in quite some time. kind of sucks

This board has been dead for a long time. When it was full of people it was really fun around here..now.....it sucks.
