Best Final Fantasy Soundtrack?

Me? I found that Final Fantasy X had the best soundtrack. It was original and very classic in my opinion. You knew all the boards from the music. It's like you were there in the game.

So, which do you think is the best FF soundtrack?

I personally love all the piano collections, in particular FFX-2 piano collections CD.

In terms of overall soundtrack, I probably loved FFVIII the most because it was the first in the series that was orchestrated, and it really left a very deep impression in me, not to mention that FFVIII was the very first FF game I played. So it's FFVIII for me.

I liked the AC and FFVII soundtracks. The sounds and all the sounds and the remakes also kicked ass. Right now I'm listening to the FFVII boss battle theme.

If you want me to get all corney, then FFVIII. It was so full of many happy, corney, lovey-dovey songs.... That I love. I especially like Eyes On Me.

and 3rd would be FFX. I loved the boss music so much. And Otherworld. There were some pretty good songs in FFX. I also liked the Zanarkand Ruins music and the music that played in the intro of the game before you skip it and go to load your data.

I really loved the soundtrack for IX.

X would probably be a close second though.

No i loved the Final fantasy 9 theame song they had some great ones.

But my one was the song in Kuja Base in the desert.

This. Not just Dancing Mad though, FFVI's entire soundtrack is great. ****, I might just have to go listen to it again

FFIX had my favourite soundtrack, with FFVI and X coming in second and third respectively. IX gets the nod for having the most memorable songs for me personally and it was a great all round soundtrack rather than one that had a couple of excellent tracks.

all of them were alright but IX's soundtrack as a whole was well rounded while the others only had a few ones that I liked.

i like final fantasy 6's soundtrack the most, i'm actually listening to Aria de carattere (the opera theme) now.
second would probably be ff7 because of it's theme song, aerith's theme, and one winged angel ofcourse.

I thought the soundtrack from FFVIII was the best. "The Landing" and "Man With the Machine Gun" are my personal favorites. FFX was also good and that would probably be #2 for me.

FFX was really a hit for me, and FFX-2 had some really good ones too. For example the piano selection at the very beginning, that's like one of my favorite piano songs EVER. I like Sight of Spira from FFX, it's just the kind of music you just chill out too after a superly hectic day

I think each soundtrack had it's own personal qualities. Some of them were good, others were bad, so I can't really choose a soundtrack that stood out for being entirely good throughout. I mean, a few of my personal favourite songs are;

Y'know, it's kind of a mix. It's really hard to choose, but if I had to really stick with one I guess I'd have to pick Final Fantasy IX just for You're Not Alone. I think IX rivals with VIII into being the best game too, and sound plays a big factor imo.

Final Fantasy VIII is where I thought the series' music gained prominence. Ther are so many catchy tunes in that soundtrack whether it be sad, happy or even sappy. Overall I enjoyed FFVIII's soundtrack the most.

Final Fantasy IX, X and XII are all also memorable soundtracks too.

I'll have to agree with FFVIII being my favourite as well. Out of all the soundtracks in the series, FFVIII had more that I liked, specifically the Winhil and Balamb themes, though Liberi Fatali was great to. Most of the songs seemed to have fitted well with the current event happening, which helped add to the mood to help make it seem more realistic.

IX and XII are other's I'm quite fond of, but VIII has more to offer, in my opinion.

I like to hear 'em all once every so often as they bring that feeling of nostalgia, I prefer FF7 for tha treason, but on an actual music point fo view I'd have to say FF9 was my favourite.

Final Fantasy IX was the BEST overall FF soundtrack of all time, and remains to be so.
