I agree with Dave.

FF might not even end in our lifetime. I doubt it will, but if it does, I think it should be one that ties together in the very end, like everything combines to just create this massive ending that makes even the coldest of people get chills.

Hmmm.

Keep the basic concept, but take out the direct references to the previous games (basically, have them inspired by the original but not literally connected), and it could actually be a decent idea.

I think that putting an actual end to the FF series would violate some law of nature, and time and space would rip in two. Final Fantasy, as it stands right now, is Square - Enix's top selling franchise. I don't really see them ending the series unless sales for the games somehow suddenly drop to almost nil.

I see it going out with an original concept, and not something like FFIX, which was basically story elements from all of the former FF's put together.

I was going to say yes out of pity, but I guess the truth is better. It sounds imaginitive, but for some unknown reason, it doesn't grip me like the other Final Fantasy plots do. I don't think I like the whole crystal idea, it makes it seem that each Final Fantasy is linked together, when clearly they are not. Each Final Fantasy has their own individual world, and thats how it should stay. I hate to think when the last Final Fantasy game will be *shudders*

You know I don't think that FF should ever end. I don't see why you would try to make a coffin for FF before it's even close to dead.

The crystals idea for each final fantasy sounded cool, but it seems like it would be really iffy.
