Levelling up.
SImple. I want to get Anima, but I missed the Besaid Destruction Sphere treasure, so I have to fight Dark Valefor. =/ So I need to train, but I find that slightly boring. I'm playing FFXII instead, much more fun.

I totaly agree with you on that. The one thing that I'm actually trying to do right now on FFXII is bring my Espers up to par. I mean I have all my guys att a level around 99 and the espers and in their dust.

As seems to be the popular option, FFVII was the one that started it off for me.
I remember calling to a friends about... 10 years back? He was sitting in front of his place, and I noticed that he was running a... spikey haired girl around a bustling little town. Of course, at the time, I was oblivious to the fact that it was a cross dressing Cloud, and after finding that I decided there was no way I was going to go near this title due to its plain stupidness. A couple of months later I bought a PS1. You can probably guess what game I bought with it...

The year was whatever it was when FFVIII came out, a friend suggested we go up to the local Video Store (which my family owned at the time) and hire out a game. So off we went and got FFVIII. I played it, and became addicted, as did he. Fun game.
However, I do wish FFVI started it for me, it is definitely my favorite. |

It all started with FFX.
I played the FFVIII demo on PC, but couldn't find the whole version, so dropped it. Later I bought a PS2 (for DMC3) and out of curiosity bought FFX. And FF slowly swallowed my life... |

Started with Final Fantasy VII. I never thought I would be interested in the series but a friend went talking around about a Cloud character who carries this huge badass sword. Not many video games has characters with a large sword. So I bought the game after VIII came out and just started from there.

When my dad bought a PS, which was our first game console after we had the Sega Genesis, I looked around at some games and saw Final Fantasy. I thought it was a game I had on Sega Genesis, but I actually had Phantasy Star III. I knew it was a popular game so I thought I'd try it out. I then became addicted. FF8 was already out so I bought that then 9 came out and I never really saw it until after 10 came out. Final Fantasy was usually the only games I bought.

FFVIII started it here... Though I was too much of a kid to appreciate it at first, played it for an hour, got bored (as FFVIII starts off rather slow) and had it collect dust for 6 months. Slighty more mature I tried it again. And now I need my daily 5 hours of FF or I die a slow and horrible death
![]() FFVIII FFVII FFIX FF IV FFV FFX FFXI FFXII Oh btw, tell me again FFX is better than FFVIII and I might be forced to bash sense into your skull with a Tidus action figure. |

I owned FFVII twice, and lost interest on both occassions because I didn't know what to do as soon as you got off the blasted train! >:
EoT, are you holding a counselling meeting for this? So time passed, and getting no further joy from the games I already had, Final Fantasy VIII was purchased (probably because it had "4 discs" printed on it). Since this was my only new game, I was kinda forced to play it. And I began to like it, as things didn't seem that complicated and it was pretty flashy. I was also new to the genre of RPGs, so this was a breakthrough of sorts. Little did I know what I was in for. A very good game, to say the least and a personal favourite, alongside FFX. |

Final Fantasy VII. I was watching my dad play it, and when he was through decided to try it myself, and I've been hooked ever since.
Well, on most FF titles anyway. I remember being disappointed after playing VIII, but was sucked back into IX.
