The first one I played was Final Fantasy VII. I liked it a lot, but I liked Final Fantasy X a lot better.

Mine would have to be FFVI, or FF3 for the Super Nintendo followers. I liked the little sprite characters and the storyline. Although I couldnt understand much of the words and language at the time since I must've been about 7 or 8 at the time, I loved it. Next to Secret of Mana and CT.

FF7 was the best! and the first one I played, although FFX was pretty awesome to be fair. I am very dissapointing with FFFXII, not much character development and I can hardly warm to any of them. With 7 and 10 I love loads of the characters, even cait sith and yuffie! (okay that bits a lie).

FFVIII. That's what got me into the series and RPG's in general. Normally the first FF game a gamer plays is usually their most favorite. That's the same case with me.

Yes, I have.
Although Chapter 4 seems short (the one where Yuna performs at the Thunder Plains) you are actually supposed to spend the best part of an hour - maybe more - viewing the commspheres Shinra put around Spira. There's a particular, optional part in the game where you are on Mt Gagazet, trying to get a costume from one of Leblanc's goons. You are meant to climb all the way to the top until you come across a hole in the mountain peering over the waterfall area in the cave - do not enter the springs via the caves, you'll soon find that the place preceeds the area you started from at the beginning of the game (where you fight the crab-thing for the sphere). By doing this, a "bonus" cut-scene will take place, and is fairly worth it.

Anyway, as well as a commsphere being at the base of Mt Gagazet where Ronso are, there will be one at the Springs too. View this one loads - practically every character that has a voice-over will be present there, doing out-of-the-ordinary stuff.

Final Fantasy VII!!!

I remember walking to middle school, and I used to watch my friend play it before we left. It was soo long ago. Probably when it first came out 10 years ago. I ended up getting a copy, but I diddn't really complete it till 2 years ago. I was more of a Final Fantasty 8 fan.

I can't believe I'm still into this game and it's 10 years later.

The math from the what now? Are you talking about the Sphere Break contest in Luca? You obtain the Lady Luck dressphere (one of the top 3 jobs for Rikku IMO) by beating Shinra. He is the final opponent in the event and naturally a scene will occur after victory, adding to your overall percentage. Don't despair too much if you do not beat him at that point in time, though - anytime afterwards, he can be found in the corridor to the right of the stairs in Luca's main theatre, where you can obtain the dressphere from him. For coins, go dig with a chocobo in the central desert with the Al Bhed. If I recall correctly, you must dispatch a chocobo to the area, from the Calm Lands.

Well...I don't know how good/quick you are at math and I can't see your game (I can't remember mine), so I can't directly tell you what to do. I save before facing him, though. If I lose to him in the Luca competition, I'll restart not having to replay a game I did beforehand.

Yes i meant the Sphere Break, but couldn't remember the name. I've faced Shinra once in the competition but he beated me good. I am NOT good at math btw. My guide says to not battle him afterwards since then it's much harder to win. But you can dig up coins you say? That's interesting. If i ever play this game again i'll give it a shot.

My first was FFX. I love it, and I'm still playing to tie up and do everything. I'm such a nerd, I've almost captured all the fiends and I overkilled Omega and Ultima without Aeons. It was one of my finest gaming moments!

To bad the players who start out with FFXII won't be faced with the great impact of Final Fantasy. We can lose a lot of soulmates that way.

VII was the first for me. I used to watch my friend play it all the time and i honestly thought it looked like garbage, but after finally giving it a shot i was hooked on the whole franchise.

FF7 for me. At first, I thought it wasn't that good. Just another Role-Playing game. Then I got deep into the storyline, and my god it was beautiful!
