Which Final Fantasy title started it for you?

i got a quick look at 3(6), but once i played 7 i was hooked, immediately buying and playing it.after that, i bought them as soon as they were released

My first was FFVII. Although I knew of FFVI I thought it looked sh*t at the time. I couldn't appreciate just how good FFVII was when I first played it (at the age of 7), its not overrated.

My cousin - having played FFVI, introduced me to FFVII and understandably I was gobsmacked by the graphics and gameplay the game had to offer. I've followed the series since then (except XI).

Final Fantasy for the NES, even though it isn't on the poll list. Played every one since then, even dabbling in the mmorpg for a bit. Although I think they failed at that one.

My dad started playing FFVII for something to do.. and before I knew it, We all (my two sisters, my dad, and I) Were stuck on it. He also has FF VIII, IX, and Tactics, so It was natural we would jump to those next. I take over his games a lot and that's how I start them.

Ummm, well, sorry to say, the ending was pretty easy. W/o the guide, it may have been a tad tougher, but w/ it, its super easy. I have beaten it four times.

But the game that started it was FFX, and then FFX2.

In fact I was introduced in the FF world by the game FFX-2.In the past though I had watched some of the gameplay of FFIX,but one of the main reasons the FF games didn't attract me that time was because of the random battles.Of course after FFX-2 I had to play FFVII,the game that made me officially an FF fan.

I played a demo of Final Fantasy VIII that game on this disc with a pizza from Pizza Hut. It looked very very very very interesting. It kicked ass to me then [around 7 I think] , and when I faced my first boss ever, I learned the basic stragey of healing and attacking! Good times. Then the robot spider came and I gave up afterwards. But if demo's don't count, I went to my sister's once "house/apartment" and played FFX on her's friends game. Lol, I was amused by the fact I could attack myself. Never before had I seen a game where that was possible! *cough*blamelegendofdragoon*cough*
