What was your favourite cut scene in FF?
|
|
|
My favourite cut scene was from Final Fantasy IX when Eiko and Garnet summoned Alexander to prevent Bahamut from destroying the rest of the city.
I'll also include a poll which you can post a vote on which game had the best cut scenes.

Final Fantasy XII. For a longtime I was wishing a Final Fantasy game would have a huge battle scene whether it be airships or soldiers. Final Fantasy fulfilled both of my wishes with the opening a a few of the ending FMVs. I particulaly was suprised at the execution of the battle scene over Rabanastre pitting the Empire and Resistance in the fight for power.

The cinematic in FFVII where the party escape from the shinra building is by far my favourite. The bike is amazing, and it's pretty awesome when you get a short look at barret's gatling gun in full, glorious cinematic graphics.

FFVII when Sephiroth torches Nibelhiem and walks away in the flames. It was just so very badass. And the light, the pretty light!! :P

For they could not love you, but still your love was true
And when no hope was left in sight, on that starry starry night
You took your life as lovers often do,
But I could have told you, Vincent,
This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you

Well this is quite a toughie. I love almost all the cutscenes in each, but it all came down to X. I suppose I love the whole serene and warm colors that they used, such as Yuna's dance on that water. It was all so magical! I know I'm exaggerating, but you get the gist.
VIII would be next. The Balamb party dance was just perfect. Squall and Rinoa really pulled it off quite well. Hmm, what is it with Final Fantasy and dancing?

VIII's last sequence. The part where Squall imagines Rinoa's death in particular. Squall's gunblade pelting into the ground, and the fight that follows was also quite....cool I guess.

Without a doubt, I must say that it was the Ragnarok scene in FFVIII.
Yes, that particular scene was one of the best because it stood out due to the kick ass momentum. The characters ready to face the ultimate battle, their anxiousness building up to that point. An outstanding machinery, so alive and strong roaring through the skies, ready to devour whatever would cross its way, and a crazy pilot screaming “Woo-Hoo!!”. So when it starts shooting towards the Lunatic Pandora it had no choice but to claw its way through them and shoot some more. Now that frikkin hawt as hell.

So what your saying is if the Final Fantasy series had a male calender, the Ragnarok would be Mr. July ? I find it odd that you picked that one. I thought you would have picked something more delicate.
I'm adding the Balamb vs. Galabadia battle to my list. The first time Squall and that Galabadian soldier fly above the ledge is just amazing. Another jump into the screen moment for me.
