I think Microsoft is really shooting themselves in the foot with this.

I've been reading Xbox forum's reactions all day today, and theres a lot of angry Xbox owners. Xbox owners are pissed that they spent the money on their current Xbox and now a new one comes out. They're also pissed that Microsoft has told them plenty of times that they dont need 1080p or a hard drive, then here it comes.

Also the price tag puts it only $20 cheaper than the 20GB PS3, and that has a built in Blu-ray player with HDMI, so the "cost" factor that seperates the PS3 and Xbox is now less of a big thing.

I think Sony should be pretty happy right now.

lol im still going to patiently wait until all the updates and new releases of, and the price reductions, of both systems, till i get my grubby little hands on both.

*sigh* but the year is half over, and without any actual good news on any interesting games that will be coming out soon for either one, i'll be looking to just settle with the WII for now. it is a bit of fun once you play it.:roll:

IGN reports that the new Xbox Elite will only be 479.99 which is roughly $120 cheaper than the PS3. Plus if they just want a hard drive, they can get the $129 1200 hard drive and save. :P

he meant the 20 gig($500) not the 60 gig plus if u want to 120 Gb hardrive its adds up to be $550 for ur xbox if u bought the premium. Personally i like the black betta than the white but other than that its pretty much a waste of money.

The 20 GB Playstation 3 is $500, and the Xbox 360 Elite is $480. Both have HDMI, the difference is the hard drive size and that the PS3 has a bluray drive (the HDMI for the Xbox is useless unless you buy the HD-DVD addon, or bluray if it comes out for Xbox).

The main upset is that the hard drive costs 180 freaking dollars for a 120 GB Harddrive. Thats an absolute garbage price for a hard drive. You can upgrade the PS3 hard drive to any retail hard drive you want, for some reason Microsoft sees it fit to charge a huge amount of money for a 120 GB hard drive just because they can.
