They're really trying to steal Sony's customers now. Why else would they do it?

There's going to be a lot of angry 360 fans out there.

LOLS! So the new 360 is just trying to conform to the ps3 by adding more memory and stuff, and painting itself black? WONT work, lol u can tell when somethings bad when even Dr. Who himself is steamed.

They'd still have to add a blu-ray player to get close to the abilities of the PS3. If they did, they'd get sewed right? So I doubt they'd try that.

Do people really need this 120 GB HD? How many people even need the full 80 GB?

I usually hate it when people point out spelling mistakes but this one made my eyes sad. I assume you meant 'sued' rather then 'sewed'

I don't see why they'd get sued anyway.

well now, i haven't seen many genuine Sony fanboy's since the PS3 came out, but it certainly is refreshing.

and Red, it was only 20GB, and that fills up quick when you download a lot of content, especially if it's HD.

Yeah, I downloaded loads of demos. You don't actually get 20GB of memory either, it's more like 17. Just like the iPod, it says you get 30GB but your only really getting 28 or something.

well that's because it comes with a lot of default and sample stuff, but you can delete a lot of that too.

also keep into account that the main cause of memory loss is from stuff like the OS, and games (iPod wise), and 360's HDD comes with that one game on it which takes up memory, so it's not an issue of the companies stiffing you it's natural with hard drives to loose memory, reformat your hdd and you'll see what I mean :P.

Just wanted to point that out in case anyone was readying their anti-apple, Microsoft army of comments on why they're inferior.

And personally i'm glad I've waited to buy a 360 cause I like me some HDMI, but this is bound to convert a couple hundred 360 fan boys to.. THE DARK SIDE!!!! or light, which ever you want to consider Playstation, personally I love it, but I consider Ken Kutaragi to be the devils spawn. But I think this is the eye before the storm, which comes this winter, MS is readying their war horse to take on the might of the Sony Army that will come at full force this winter.

But what I really love is how Sony copies a system in something totally tiny like motion control, or rumble and they're considered to be copy cats, Microsoft or Nintendo does it they're considered to be geniuses.

wait, where are some of you getting the idea that they're copying Sony? that's rather arrogant. this system has been out for a while, so it's time for a new version/larger hard drive. it's no different than how Sony released several newer versions of the other Playstations.
besides, the controller issue on the PS3 wasn't about copying, just that it seems stupid to actually get rid of a function in favor of some sub par motion sensor.

ah I'm not trying to say they're copying sony by my earlier post, i'm saying more so that they're barrowing ideas, which is a great thing, I think if it's good and people like it try it yourself. But there's been a couple interviews in the past where high ups in MS have said specifically there were no plans to add an hdmi output.

Of course when they released the system HDMI wasn't as common as it is today (mind you it's still not all to common but it's prefered over all other cables).

I'm really trying to say if it was sony that had done something like this people would be saying they're copy cats, I still hear people say they copied with rumble back in the days. It's really a copy in the sense that Sony had HDMI first and then MS followed, it's a trivial thing to say you're a copy cat for since it's just an output, but it's something I hear fanboys of all creeds bitch about daily.

But also this is a big screw you to the early adopters, sony may change their system all the time but it's in the sense of a design change not a hardware change, the least ms could do is add in a plugin for hdmi so early adopters can have it.

there was never really a need for hardware changes back then, although i shouldn't say that, since Sony actually should have considering the poor quality of it at the time.
i don't really think there's any copying going on right now, there's just a need for the larger hard drive due to content and HD addition because the HD-DVD player just came out. not really much of an issue here.

Hey, do we even have to debate about this? Microsoft is trying to make an improvement, and they just can't match up to Sony.

I believe there would be a few that would disagree with you there, especially with several of the once Sony exlcusives that are now going multiplatform.

As for the upgrade. Meh. I'm fine with what I have right now. I may get that extra hardrive later but that's all I'll really need.
