Final Fantasty Tactics Advance 2: new screenshots.

Square Enix have released new screenshots of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance2: The sealed Grimoire on DS. This title is set in the world of Ivalice like its GBA predecessor and the recent FFXII, and will go back to the more simplistic play of Tactics advance, instead of the new style of Revanent wings. The story follows the 2 heroes Adel and Lous (who also features in FFtactics: The Lions war on PSP) and is due to be released later this year in Japan.

Nice find, I loved FFTA and I'm interested to see if this one will feature any of the old characters or not, making it a direct sequel.

OMG! the graphics look no different from ffta 1! i thought the DS was to Improve upon graphics a little bit atleast! i mean i much prefer the sprite designs of Tactics/Lion war. And even the sprite work of Revenant wings looks cooler. but this seems like a recycled version of Tactics advance with a 3dish playing board, and probably will have a neat cutscene in the opening of the game ONLY/ maybe some media soundboards and useless stuff like that. and if the game play remains the same as in tactics A, that means that stupid judge and his "rules" will still be around!? man, that was one of the biggest problems with FFTA! -_-

Looks awesome. But the question is, "how is it going to use the two screens?" Will it use the touch screen good? It better have both screens on all the time. That was the biggest let down with FF3. I don't like the look of the main hero though, maybe I was just expecting it to be Marche. I'll probably grow used to him as I play it. FFTA was my fav game for the Advance, so I'm looking for over 300 missions to rock the DS. Gonna get it ASAP.

Personally, i liked FFVI advance for the gba more. even golden sun was better for me then tactics advance. However, i did have a bit of fun playin the game, despite the card system, and the confusing job skill leveling. if its anything like the final fantasy i know, it will be turn based, and the stylus can be used to input commands for your various characters, its hard to use the touch screen in fast paced action games because u have to quickly alternate between the given buttons and the touch screen which can make u frustrated and end up resorting to using your thumbs instead of the stylus. but the next gen portable FFs seem perfect for the touch screen stylus. to bad ffIII didnt build on that concept

Golden Sun's were still great for Advance, but I loved the hundreds of missions in FFTA. Especially once you stop playing after a while and then more missions appear, and you can play it for ever and keep levelling up. I'd like to see TA2 the same style, with more improvements. Looks like the same jobs are still there, but there are some new ones. I love the overall layout of the game.

The main character's sprite looks a little odd don't you think?
