Default Final Fantasty Tactics Advance 2: new images

Square Enix has released new screenshots of their upcoming DS title: Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Grimoire which will be released sometime this year in Japan.

The story revolves around the 2 characters Luso and Adel. Luso stumbles across a book entitled the Grimoire whilst locked in the library as a punishment. The adventure begins when he writes his name in it and then gets transported to the world of Ivalice.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 looks like it will play like the previous Tactics Advance on the GBA, but with updated graphics and probably some new features, although little is known at this point. However, fans hoping for a multiplayer experience will find themselves disappointed.

As long as it is as fun as the first one, I couldn't care any less about recycled sprites.

FFTA sucked ****. If this game's gameplay is just the same, I think I'd rather slit my throat than play it. Also, I hate how they show that same sword in Marche's illustration for FFTA, yet you never get it. That guy also looks like a bigger fag version of Marche. The people who made FFTA were lazy. They had no character depth and made Marche look like Ramza. I hope no one buys this game just to show them how much FFTA sucked.

I don't know what you are on about. FFTA was the best game for GBA! As for this title, it looks promising to be equally as good or better. I like the look of the female character, but what's up with Luso's hat? The sprite of him looks absolutely messed up.

Is there not going to be a multiplayer? Shouldn't they have learned that we all like playing with friends?

Yeah, FFTA was the best game for the GBA, but I mean, come on. Really now, how many flaws were there? Learning abilities from weapons, no character depth, to get all the best armours in the game you have to be able to link up,and the jobs were horrible.

Disaster.

dude, do u not remember that F***ing judge who made those stupid rules so u couldnt use things like weapons, or magic in the levels!? That game was certainly NOT the best game for the gba. Final fantasy VI advance was the best game for the GBA! And i thought u people agreed that VI was the best game in the series! the story was tiresome, and all those "thousands of side missions" detered from the main story so much, it was naussiating! Tactics for the play station, that was a great game, even with the bad translation, but tactics advance was very two bit, to me. And like i said before, id expect alot more from the ds's graphics system to just reuse old ffta sprites, and put them in somewhat 3Dish battle fields, and add a bit of media extras maybe in the main menue! God, so far, the graphics in GBA's Chain of Memories, looked more awsome then this, and they somehow squeezed in audio voice clips in that game!

I, for one, liked that feature. If you didn't check the laws, you would pay for it. And, you could easily negate them with Law Cards, if you played far enough.

I can understand why you wouldn't like it though. I just like the level of strategy it brings.

And, I thought Chain of Memories was horrible.

I liked the first one, and I'm planning on getting the second. I liked the way the battles were, and the way you learn abilitys from weapons because no other FF game (that I've played) is like this.

Yes it is! And it was me who did the other FFTA2 story further down. I'm just reporting that theres even more New screenshots, and the fact that theres no online play like loads of people were hoping there would be! Read a little closer next time!

As for the game, I loved it, then again I really love strategy rpgs such as Fire Emblem and Disgaea. I don't think the sprites are completely the same, by the looks of things they've been given at least a little kick, but there is barely any difference

well im sorry dani. i simply expected that most new news is posted by kioneh. my bad. i like strategy RPG's too! as a toddler, i always wanted to play games like ogre battle, or FFTactics original. But i was to small, to rly get into all the sub commands and intrikate strategy. So instead, i began to custom myself to the more linear rpgs,(the ones with ATB gaudges and other variations of it) RPG's in general have always been my favorite genre of gaming, and my tastes have grown, as i have. Infact, FFTA was one of the first strategy rpgs i rly started getting into. and i spent weeks on it, until i finnally slowed down, when the judging got a little to strict, and the "guardians" started pummelling me to the point of frustration. When i grew older, i began retracing my steps back to more classic strategy rpgs, and when compared to tactics advance, they all looked and acted better. I loved the intricate system of FFXII, ( mostly because i could beat on them damn judges who kept flaging me ). so ill buy revenant wings for its nice animation, and continuation of a great story, and i might buy the lion wars, for my reason to replay those games which i didnt get a chance to play back in the day. But tactics advance 2 i might, at best concider renting and trying out, as the vissuals look the same, the story of ivalice always seemed 2 dimentional when the grand grimoir version of it is always brought up. And if the game play and restricted racial jobclasses remain the same. Anyway, my point is, whoever just said that COM sucked, is another one of those ignorrant nieve, butholes who didnt have a GBA to play the game and continue the story on. And who sulked, and rated and compared it to its PS2 brethrens. For a Gba game, it rocked dudes. RE COM will have the same "dumb" card system, if thats what you hated about it, and if it was about graphics or story wise, i thought both aspects were aww inspiring and smooth, and was the first gba game to include CG cutscenes!
