Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is to be released on the 13th of this month and Famitsu have managed to get executive producer Yoshinori Kitase, producer Hideki Imaizumi, director Hajime Tabata, and character designer Tetsuya Nomura together for an interview where they discuss the development of Crisis Core and touch upon the never ending subject of an FFVII remake.
Ign have the details of the interview which are outlined below. - Hajime Tabata noted that the game almost fills up a UMD-Rom, is well balanced that players of all levels should be able to finish it. Those more experienced gamers can look forward to over 300 missions outside of the main storyline. - The origins of Crisis Core were that the project was going to be a port of Before Crisis. Kitase talked to him about this idea but it seems it was Nomuras suggestion that they make a game with much more meaning to the Compilation- with it centered on the soldier Zack. - The persistant rumours, speculation of FFVII being remade was also brought up. Tabata side stepped the question by revealing that SE will be distributing a new episode of Before Crisis for mobiles at the same time as the Crisis Core release. Imaizumi remarked that it was all about a question of timing as key figures were busy with their own projects plus a new game is to be revealed at the TGS- it also seems that this new game could be separate from the KH franchise as Nomura had previously announced that an installment in the KH project will be seen at the TGS. Im guessing not all of them are... battle related.. maybe cutscene-heavy side quests or minigames that help flesh out bits of FF7 we never knew about..
maybe a honeybee inn simulation game >_> |

I'm wondering if the Kingdom Hearts spin off is really going to center around Roxas. Because those were the initial thoughts going on about the spin off game. It was either the story behind Roxas or the story of where the Keyblades originated from. Hopefully we'll find something out later at TGS.

Annnnnyway.... I'm buying a PSP just for this game (well, this and Dissidia). The early reviews I've been reading have been surprisingly promising. It's sounding more and more like Square is putting the effort into this title that they left out of DoC. |

i wouldnt have bought one for this game alone. But Tactics: Lions, and Dissidia, were the driving force. And i might as well pick this up aswell ^^.
