Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2, for the DS hand held system, is one of several titles to be released in the NA. It is part of a compilation project by Ivalice Alliance, to help further spread the Ivalice mythos by releasing sequels, remakes and spinoffs of titles revolving around the Tactics, Tactics Advance and Final Fantasy XII world.
Tactics Advance 2 takes its place as a "sequel" to the gba release of FFTA. In that it leaves out the military coups and political struggles, and focuses mainly on the hunts, the clans, and the Grimoire based story featured with Marche in the gba original. Tactics the Lion wars, a buffed up remake of the cult classic game for the psx Final Fantasy Tactics, included many special features and add ons in its title. One of which, was the appearance of two playable cameo roles in the game; Balthier the sky pirate from the PS2's Final Fantasy XII, and Luso, the yet to be seen, leading man in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2. Well, its just been confirmed that Lion wars will not be the only title to feature cameos, the game will feature two memorable characters from the FF XII franchise. No, Balthier seems to have been too busy with the PSP title, so instead, main characters Vaan and Penelo will appear in this new Ivalice, in their post game outfits featured in FF Revenant Wings. ( with the addition of a stylish shirt for Vaan, he finally can afford clothes )http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/6...color01bo0.jpg

This is WAY old news, but still can't wait.
I think it is time that they stop with all the sequels and spinoffs and make NEW games. They could put together all these teams and focus on making the main-stream titles again. I'd rather 13, 14, 15 etc than 4 different 13s. As long as they are whole new games. It's a shame, because I think they've entered a generation of FF where they can never replicate the same experiences as such titles as 7 and 10. The new titles look all too action-packed to me, even though they are great looking, I hope there is depth to the characters and story. |
