Default Square Enix Party

This August, on the second and the eighth, Square Enix is hosting its DK[sigma]3713, which my source, IGN, called it (they hinted to the fact that it may actually be the Square Enix Party), and Square will be featuring presentations including demos and trailers on all of our favorite games.

The features are on all three Fabula Nova Crystallis games (XIII, Versus XIII, and Agito), all three new Kingdom Hearts games (Birth by Sleep, Coded, and 358/2 Days), Sigma Harmonics, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete (I'm assuming that that is the Blu-ray version), and The 3rd Birthday (A parasite eve moble game that we'll probably never see here).

The event is in Tokyo Japan's Harajuku Quest Hall and only 2400 people will be allowed in.

I am going to assume that none of the Final Fantasy Extreme community is in the Japanese gaming press, and that none of you have intentions of flying to Tokyo and sneeking into this event (Although the event is in August, that leaves enough time to plan...), lest you get thrown out , n00b. So why am I telling you this? This way the FFE community knows to expect news arround then.

But doesn't anyone think this is a little ridiculous? This is a preview for an event of more previews. Plus we won't even see those previews for few months.

Have a great day.

Yeah, the kung fu panda avatar was funny for a day, and then it sucked.

Wouldn't that just be the biggest surprise ever.

If they did though, it would be incredibly risky. They would have to do everything they can to carefully portray FF7 as it was in the original. Plus, what do they do now that they have screwed up the original story by chucking Genesis into the mix, especially his appearance at the Nibel Mako Reactor? That annoyed me.

But I hope to see some more footage from Dissidia, or at least word-by-mouth.

"how terribly missguided"- Hollander

Genesis was just made to set up Dirge Of Cerberus (along with Hojo). I doubt he affected Cloud's life at all since the most of the conflict between Zack and Genesis happened while he was unconcious/not around. I think the only time he saw Genesis is in Modelheim.

(Avoiding the VII-Remake and Genesis topic)

From what I've seen after checking my e-mail this morning is that a fair few people who are Square-Enix Members got invitations to the party and some members among the different rankings (Gold, Silver and Bronze Members which are basically decided on points) will have their rankings shown and if they wanted to they could apply for a further invitation in case they wanted to bring someone... sadly being in Australia I can't go so I'm going to ask Jay or Moriya about what they've shown.

As for Dissidia RedCloud - they've shown some more footage and images have been leaked of Tidus versus Jecht in the Zanarkand area in which their final battle was held in Final Fantasy X (which was stationed above the Blitzball arena) and Jecht may use some Blitzball techniques against Tidus - like the Jecht Shot Mark III which Tidus uses in his Overdrive Blitz Ace and I expect some more footage to be leaked soon but the current leak has been of low-quality.

... It's a long story.

URL for what?

SQEX Members or the Dissidia images?

The other images have been taken down along with the leaked video of gameplay.

Dissidia images:
Jump Dissidia Scan
(Large image, took a while to clean a bit as the original scan was really blurry).

Link for Square-Enix Members - Japan
You might still get an invitation e-mail about the party if you register now but I'm not exactly sure as I know some got invites and others just got information about what is being shown at the party.

Hey, cool scan of Dissiida Lady Lamont! Never seen that before!

As for Genesis, I didn't like the fact that there was somebody that matched Sephiroth's powers, or almost did, and that there were others created just like him. It kind of made Sephiroth's image less god-like.

And him appearing in the Nibel Reactor which totally warped the story of the original telling of the Nibel Reactor incident from FF7...that just ruined the original story a bit more. They did some damage to the original feel of the story, and I hope if they do another remake of 7 they can keep it to the original and bring it back around.

I really hope they show some cool stuff in the party. I can't go obviously, but I just want to know how the XIII's are coming along too.

Well the scan came from the latest issue of the Jump magazine (if all else fails for recognizing the magazine from Famitsu, Jump has the pirate mascot which I currently cannot think of it's name) but I'll have a look in Kinokuniya for Square-Enix's magazines' and see if I can get some more scans and see if I can translate them (I didn't translate the scan I posted before as I couldn't recognize a couple of Kanji but it's basically just providing details about where Tidus and Jecht appeared in and other little comments).

Well the Nibelheim Reactor section is what has been commented on that part of the experiments that led to Genesis and the like were held in the Reactor as we saw in VII but they were removed before Cloud arrived, but he did see a warped character which did have some resemblance to some of the other experiment characters from Crisis Core to the side of Hojo wanting to cover his bases if Sephiroth ever went rogue (which he did in the end) but that's just from one side of it.

Otherwise I do agree with you RedCloud.

I think that it's just damaging the perfect original story of VII. DoC already did a little. Sometimes I think they should have just left the whole FF7 universe alone, even though it's my favourite.

What I wouldn't mind is a CGI movie of FF8. In fact, they should do that with a lot of them, and make them really long, though that's an impossible task and request.

I hope they don't reveal extra characters for Dissidia though. I like some things to be a secret. Though I'd expect characters like Vincent, Tifa, Seifer, Seymour and Auron...hopefully.
