Default Chrono Trigger DS?

Sequel? Prequel? Remake? Don't know other than that we have to wait until the countdown is over.

Countdown Site

((Please check already posted news articles.
I had already posted this in my topic of the "Square-Enix Members TV".
Last post, as I forgot to add it in when I first posted the update.
I have also been trying to pry up some information on it - nothing has really been released yet other than rumours that it may be the promised Chrono Trigger game that ended up becoming vaporware.
Sorry, I just get a little cranky after working on (my own) forums having more than twenty people post about it after I had already made an announcement)).

It's been up for a while, it came up under their pages but it never had anything on it until they modified it recently and it became a Countdown Site of which made the rumours - due to it's URL possible about a remake, but there are also rumours to the side that it could be ports of the original games to the Nintendo DS system.

The site changed, then they finally released a press statement saying that Chrono Trigger will have a DS remake, and also hinted at the possibility of other Chrono series-releases including the vaporware game which was promised so long ago.

They will probably change their minds about what they are going to change or add to the game, when they do that it will probably spawn off the sequel onto the DS too. If they say it has online capabilities, I probably wouldn't believe them (it would probably end up being scrapped just like Final Fantasy X's online capabilities were - you can see the Beta Video from Square-Enix to see what I mean by that statement).

A little part of me died when I read that Chrono Trigger was going to DS (Dead System). I wanted a full fledged console remake on PLAYSTATION 3 with state of the art graphics and voice acting, not some lousy "let's control Crono with the touch-screen" remake.

I know what you mean.

It's only a remake, well... more honestly like a Port just with touch-screen capabilities.

But with them doing that to Chrono Trigger then they have to do the sequel, and perhaps we might FINALLY see that one which was promised.

The coutdown has ended btw.
Yeah, it looks like a port, but the great thing about a port is, they may have added a few fun additions.

Yeah, but the site is still glitchy. The countdown section is still loading instead of the main site and so far from what I've seen and heard there hasn't been anything new added.

Whatever happened to that Chrono Trigger remake that was supposed to come for PS2? I am told that it was supposed to be called Chrono Break, but be pretty much the same thing as Chrono Trigger.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Chrono Break was the one which was promised but it was never released and ended up becoming what we call vaporware.

But there are multiple rumours about that game, it never came out and after the DS Remake of Chrono Trigger we may not see that one on the PlayStation systems but on the Nintendo systems now.
