This time they've put in the Character section the ones to represent Final Fantasy III - The Cloud of Darkness (CoD for short) and the Onion Knight.
In the Video section they have added in a section of gameplay of the Onion Knight against the Cloud of Darkness featuring transformations into the EX-Mode which the Onion Knight changed class and goes through menus for attacks, weapons and magic spells against the Cloud of Darkness. The area is also shown to be damaged via attacks and objects in the field can be hidden behind, destroyed or flung towards the enemy to cause a damage chain... like we saw in Kingdom Hearts II we had the Reaction Commands which required the player to hit the Triangle button when it flashed onto the screen, Dissidia is shown to require this for certain chain attacks and some Limits/Limit Breaks. The battles feature themes (original and remixed) versions from the games of which the characters are representing.. for the battle there was Final Fantasy III's "Battle II" and the Victory Fanfare. Overall it's welcoming to me, I personally can't wait until I can beat Ultimecia around a bit more.... However with the amount of time that has passed and Square have still not released more Nomura artworks/designs for the characters which were shown at the end of the trailer from the Square-Enix Members Party meaning that it will probably be a little while before they release them, screenshots or any videos (whether it be FMV sequences or Gameplay). I hope the frame rate is good for the game, I hope it was just the video frame rate that was a little low.
Also, there was a lot of beams flying everywhere, I hope it's not Final Fantasy Dragonball Z! I hope there is a large focus on weapon attacks rather than just shooting beams at each other. |

The frame rate was lowered when they put it into Flash. As for the attacks - they (mainly Onion Knight was...) were using weapons, however SE were showing the continuity of Magic use combined with Job Class changing to the side of Equipment changing for whatever the battle calls for - Flexibility.

Red Cloud, the gameplay is a lot smoother, i've seen gameplay footage of Tidus fighting Jecht, and the frame rate has a lot less lag. LoL, i like how the Onion Kid's Limit break includes the oldschool menu select screen. *epic battle then pause... hmmm, guess i'll throw a... Boomerang..!*
Also, CoD doesn't rly have weapons, i take it she's a mage class fighter. WANT Pictures of Kefka/Golbez/ExDeath! ![]()

How is he supposed to get it if Nomura throws a tantrum every time someone asks about it? Nomura has stepped up in his projects as he doesn't want too much stuff leaked unlike what happened with Kingdom Hearts II when one of the normal statements were "DO. NOT. SAY. SEPHIROTH. IS. IN. THE. GAME." basically until it was leaked making him and the other leaders pretty annoyed over that fact to the side that they're still putting together video pieces, sound clips, screenshots and finalizing the colouring on the designs from Nomura's sketches and then they have to overall the entire site so that the Dissidia site doesn't have any conflicts with their main site or any of their other sub-sites so it's understandable for why it's taking a while. So hold your damn Chocobos'.
Your threats don't work on me Garland. And I think that's a little silly with the PlayArts when they have actual models and renders avaliable for animation by fans for fans... To the side that I'm still working on getting more images up from scans, photos to cleaned images.

True, though ninety-percent of the time it's Yusuke's fault (which is why I blame him for most delays or screw ups) as he makes Nomura change things so either one would be behind any delays or to the side that Nomura seems to be trying to only unveil new artworks, screenshots and the like once a month and videos every few months which is a good idea for a marketing scheme to increase tension over the line-up and other things within the game itself and it has worked for them in the past. *Shrugs*

I know, but it's a marketing strategy that works pretty well for them in comparison to other companies' projects' (not naming the ones) that tried it and the games' ended up being a flop.

I like the way Nomura does things. He seems to know how to do it but people higher up want to do it their way. For example with XIII being on the Xbox, he didn't want that, I didn't want that, and we can probably come up with a great list of reasons why, but he had no say in it I guess.
He seemed cool in the Advent Children interviews as well. |

mmm.. i loved the video.. its very fast paced. i think i'll really enjoy this game..
as for the Ninja and Sage, i believe those 2 are only accessed from being in EX mode, which is kind of like a 'trance' mode.. and the Meteor cast and finishing move the Ninja did are actually Limit Breaks. The use of the old school menu is probably only for nostalgia purpose.. If you look closely in the trailer the game tells you which item to throw/which spell to cast. So i guess if you do it wrong, you won't get the extra finishing move. (for eg. the sage is asked to cast Holy, after he does it right, he finishes off with a Meteor) I guess this means that every character will probably come with a "mini-game" Limit Break, similar to FFVIII and FFX's style. Squall will probably get his trigger gauge thing and Tidus will probably get his sports game moving dial thingy... Its probably safe to assume that every character will have an EX mode... but all in all. it looks great. cant wait |

(Spira) I have to agree with you about it being fast-paced and that I'll enjoy it too.
That's true, well as the site has been updated with another video (Tidus versus Jecht) - to which I am glad to hear that they have kept Otherworld intact, better showcasing of movement around the environments and basic attacks and reactions... showing Tidus' Blitz Ace intact with the timed button reaction, both of them duplicating each one another's attacks with Blitzballs' being thrown or kicked every now and again. I hope they do more updates next week.

I kinda hoped they would sort of recompose every final boss theme from the game for the battles that they versed these enemies. For example, recompose
Neo Exdeath Dancing Mad One Winged Angel The Extreme Darkness of Eternity Otherworld I sorta hope we don't get too many videos and info. Well, I know I won't be checking out any videos, I'd like to experience the game for myself. I just want to know the rest of the cast (not any extras) |

I can honestly say that this game is shaping up QUITE well. Heh, my computer was busted for about two weeks with no internet and one of the biggest things I was craving for was if any updates were released yet. Alas, no artwork. ;(
