Dissidia: Alternate Costumes confirmed

Through some studies of screenshots, it has been revealed that alternate costumes will appear in Dissidia for the various characters, and will be true to other artwork productions and in-game alternate outfits. Now, I'd like to mention, that me posting this without Lady Lamont already knowing might very well be impossible but I haven't seen it in discussion.

Squall is confirmed to have both his Main Game outfit and his SeeD outfit as described in the following screenshots from the Final Fantasy Wikia Discussion page.



And Firion is also confirmed to have his alternate design as another costume.

I knew because I noticed the differences in the images and trailers. I just didn't feel like posting it.

However with a new image from a magazine scan, possibly there aren't just alternate costumes for some of the characters but actual character changes instead such as the Onion Knight - in red outfit with blonde-ish hair is now able to turn into this:



Which is from Famitsu, makes me wonder what other ones we're getting....

Yeah, alternate costumes are looking great. They really are going into detail with this game. Tetsuya said this game is mainly run by the younger members of the developing team, so it's nice to see they know what they're doing, they're the next generation of FF developers .

Where did that last famitsu come from Lamont? It looks like with colour changes so does the slight detail in face and hair, meaning they are making them look like the other Warriors of Light from FF3.

I imagine Sephiroth would either have A. His Nomura design or B. Shirtless outfit from the last battle in FF7.

Cloud could perhaps have his Advent Children design or his SOLDIER costume from Crisis Core, or maybe the possibility of a Zack alternate?

A lot of alternates are still up in the air, and for some characters, it could possibly just be the situation of a palette swap, but in the end, this is looking fantastic, just as soon as they announce Terra, Bartz, Exdeath and CLOOOUUUD, I'll be 100% happy with this game.

Come on extra characters...Leon, Kain, Faris, Gilgamesh, Locke, Tifa, Seifer, Freya, Auron and Seymour. And Vincent too, but, he's had a good run already.

That's for sure, he's giving them a fair bit of way on the project and they're doing a great job at it too.

It came from the same issue in which Cecil and Golbez were shown in, which is the latest issue. And yes, it is supposed to represent Luneth, I believe that more images are to be on the way of those differences.

It's true he could have the "Heartless Angel" design from the Kingdom Hearts series but I'd say it's more likely that he'd transform into his Safer Sephiroth or the other final forms in VII's final battles.

For Cloud that's the possibility, however you must also consider the Shinra Infantryman outfit which he wore most of Crisis Core until the Nibelheim Incident and that with the multiple forms and outfits for the characters already then there is again the possibility of having Zack as an option.

Hahahahha.

I want my favorite Knight ~ Sir Seifer, come on guys he's only appeared in VIII and KHII show him some LOOOOOVE!

I'm kinda past Vincent being in it now as a side character, seeing how he had his own game, even though he would have a unique transformation. I think Tifa would be a good character.

As for alternates, there aren't that many I can think of for most characters, if any.

That's true...

However, Tifa also appeared in Ehgeiz and Kingdom Hearts II... so I'm a little bit over her. Barret, Cid Highwind anyone?

Ah, I'd love the Disciplinary Committee.... *Still going on about that* so with my liking of the majority of the characters (well, technically I've put them all into a ranking order) so I have quite a few that I'd like to see as alternatives.

I just thought it would be funny if they reminded all of the "ZOMG CLOUDZY EZ SO HAWT!!1!oneoneone111eleventymillionbloodyones" that he DID cross dress in VII. Although, the Yaoi-fangirls and fanboys would have a field day with that.

Bah, i'm the guy who enhanced the photo, i assumed that effemenant thigh would be terra from the get go. However, a freakkin' blob cannot be assumed to be Zack Fair.

Have to agree to that, besides other tossed character designs show more than four characters have a highly similar design to the character shown in the image assumed to be Terra.

I also cannot assume that to be Zack, as I have enhanced that picture too myself and posted it before so overall it should really only be said to wait until more information is released.

That's Terra, I don't know who else it could be. It resembles one of the designs Amano did for her also.



That Zack looking guy, I don't know. Sephiroth was KNOWN to say the line "You're just a puppet" to Cloud, and he said so again in the trailer, so I believe Cloud will be in.

For and against that image being Zack:

For:
- Black hair running the length of his neck
- Black pants
- What 'appears' to be short sleeves
- Possibly the Buster Sword on his back, but then again, could be Cloud.

Against:
- No shoulder armour
- Zack has recently featured in his own game, Cloud has not
- Sephiroth said the "You're just a puppet" line in the trailer which was said to Cloud before
- Could be Bartz. Bartz had blue clothing, dark hair
- The colours HAVE been exaggerated, so perhaps a brownish hair has become black due to harsh light, could be Bartz?
- The FFVII stage is the lifestream, and Cloud vs Sephiroth in the lifestream as their last fight, not Zack.
- They are using the main titles only, and Zack, even though his persona IS the story, Cloud was the main character with the main conflict with Sephiroth, and even after FFVII when he resolved his own troubles, he still set out to defeat Sephiroth again in AC.

Once again, my assumptions. I tried, but I could not get my image to look like the one with the Zack speculation.

RedCloud, If you're going for the amano artwork side. Bartz has short white hair.

Hmmm, i would pit you're interpretation of Firion's position against possibly Paladin Cecil. Your Dark Knight Cecil position is replaced by Bartz, who is shown alot without a cape. Tidus placed in the ??? Zack. Firion placed in the Tidus spot. WoL OK Zidane and Squall are placed correctly. The one on the far left looks very feminen, so it could be terra or celes where as the sultry bare thighed character in the middle is Final Fantasy VII's Drag-Cloud XD
