Default XBox360 heads towards Vana'diel

At Square's pre-E3 conference they announced that Final Fantasy XI will be made available to future XBox360 owners, when the console is released later on this year. The president of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada, had this to say:

?As we move forward with our cross-platform strategy to bring our titles to more gamers in multiple formats, we are extremely excited to launch our popular MMORPG on the XBox360 and look forward to this collaboration with Microsoft. The XBox360 provides a powerful platform from which gamers can be immersed in the spell-binding Final Fantasy XI story that comes to life through collaborative online game play.?

The monthly fee for the MMORPG was not touched upon, though it is thought that it will be the same price as the PC and PS2 versions of the game.
