Dirge of Cerberus Plot + Screens

New information about the plot for Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII been released. The game is set three years after the events of FF VII, making that one year after Advent Children. The story surround's a group of Soldiers called, Deepground Soldiers, who were buried underground after the meteor events at the end of FF VII. Now they emerged from their underground lair and have began terrorising Midgar.

Vincent Valentine (main character of the game) is to investigate these goings on and discover the appearance of these Soldiers.

Square Enix representatives have said that DoC: FF VII will have "shocking truths never revealed in the original game." And included on the press release was this tag line: "The time has come to cleanse this world. Hunt down the unworthy...and show them no mercy."

Six brand new screens have also been released, they include a close up of Vincent's face and two of the Deepground Soldiers.
