Default Square Enix's Q&A session

After Square Enix's orginal conference, President Yoichi Wada and the comperate executive Shinji Hashimoto took a Q&A session which answers some of the question which people may have had. They spoke about Final Fantasy XI, Before Crisis, Final Fantasy XII, Advent Children, Crisis Core and The World of Mana. Nothing was said on the FF VII Tech Demo.

When asked about Final Fantasy XI on the XBox 360, and about any future titles on the console, Yoichi Wada said that, Final Fantasy XI players on the Xbox 360 will be able to play with other users on the PC or PlayStation 2.

On other games he says "We announced only one game this time, but we hope to establish a comprehensive relationship while examining the Xbox 360's capabilities." It was also said that Square Enix will be considering the release of Final Fantasy XI on other platforms if it has the required environment.

When asked if there were plans to port other PlayOnline games to the Xbox 360, Wada commented that Square Enix is examining the possibilities.

Wada confirmed that Before Crisis - Final Fantasy VII is still planned for a US release, although they are currently waiting for the technology to get up to the stage as it is in Japan. He also said that Square Enix hopes to release the game on multiple phone carriers and make it possible that players on different phone carriers or different continents can play online together. However there are still a number of hurdles to overcome regarding this, such as differences in hardware specs, programming languages, and business models.

Final Fantasy XII isn't playable at this E3, but Wada says that it was simply an issue of timing. He added that Square Enix will have it playable at the end of July, at which point the company will hold a private show in Japan.

Square Enix plans to dub Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in English for the American release. When asked by the press if there were any plans to release Advent Children with Japanese voice and English subtitles, Wada said he would consider the possibility.

The appearance of the E3 Crisis Core trailer. Despite the appearance of Crisis Core during the E3 trailer, that might not be what the actual game looks like. The trailer there was only used to present the game at E3. It's appearance may change as Square-Enix fully explores the capabilities of the PSP.

There are plans to expand The World of Mana franchise by using "polymorphic content". Wada explaines that the "polymorphic content" strategy is the method of taking an original concept and developing it simultaneously across multiple media, including novelizations, film, games, and other products, such as manga. He also says The World of Mana is still in its early planning stages, there aren't any details that can be discussed as of yet.
